Sergeant at Arms
"It happened that, in that season, on a day
In Southwark, at the Tabard, as I lay
Ready to go on pilgrimage and start
To Canterbury, full devout at heart,
There came at nightfall to that hostelry
Some nine and twenty in a company
Of sundry persons who had chanced to fall
In fellowship, and pilgrims were they all!"

About

The SPBH was among one of the first and most well known professional assassination guilds to appear in the mod of PW, the creator himself (Suspicious Pilgrim) being the longest playing assassin of PW. The Brotherhood had uniformed weapons and procedures, adapting to the changes every update made. While it died many times, the spirit of the Brotherhood has lived on, and the SPBH has come back alive time and time again. This clan, now purely meant for Native, is non competitive for now. Our uniqueness is not in having legendary player skill (though we do have very talented fighters) but in our playstule. When we play, our main goal is stealth, sneaking behind enemy lines to commit hit n' run attacks. We also prefer to work in groups that all conform to a single uniform, so as to make our appearance more intimidating. If you're looking for a clan with great people and experienced leadership, feel free to sign up! All we ask for in applicants can be viewed in our FAQ below.

What skills should I have?

You don't have to excel at all forms of combat, but what we do require is maturity and obedience.

a) Don't type in 1337 speak and try to have some proper English. You don't have to be perfect at it, but we should be saying "you" instead of "u".

b) Don't be an idiot. If a veteran tells you to do something, do it. Don't go running off on your own and disobey orders.

How do I join?

1. You find someone who is with the SPBH.
2. Ask the Pilgrim to recommend you to me.
3. I will make sure you're not an idiot.
4. I will give you a name if it turns out you're not complete trash and  will add you on steam.

When I'm a Pilgrim, how do I behave?

1. Talk only when neccesary. You are not to engage in heated conversations in global chat, as it will distract you from your duty.
2. Speak with good grammar and with taste.
3. Think before you talk. Always look for sarcastic comments and think carefully about what someone is asking you.
4. Attempt to operate with other pilgrims. If a fellow pilgrim is violating our code or in general being a dip**** to you, send a complaint to me or Ifrit (Tanned_Pilgrim). If I find some validity to it, I'll take over from there.
5. Don't break server rules.
6. Do not get into fights that involve TKers or trolls. Ignore these guys, and don't bother trying to poll ban anyone if they wound/kill you and don't say sorry. If it's some well known prick everyone is talking about, go ahead and poll ban. Those last 1 hour, don't feel bad.
7. Try being stealthy. Always check your corners and try to be aware of what's going left, right, and center. Even behind you! Make sure where every enemy and where every friend is in your area, this carnal knowledge can save your life.
8. For the love of God, just follow orders.

How active do I need to be?
Fortunately for you, the Brotherhood is not a full time commitment. You're allowed to switch from pilgrim to non pilgrim whenever you like, provided you use different characters. If you're just one of our friends who like to tag along with the group, feel free to follow us around when we play. We don't use TS or anything to communicate. We rely on the good ol' sound of silence.

What are the ranks?
Ew, ranks. We don't have ranks anymore, though newcomers will be referred to as maggots by some of our veterans.

What's the roster?

Tanned Pilgrim
Female Pilgrim
Irish Pilgrim
Lying Pilgrim
Ice Pilgrim

WTF is this?
This part is for you dolts out there who decided to TLDR most of the thread. We're an ancient assassins group, our history stretches back to late v2 version of PWMOD, and the leader's history stretches all the way to first version of PWMOD. Suspicious Pilgrims, if you could find one, could be hired to peform a variety of subversive activites such as assassination, infiltration, spying, slave trading, and scouting, depending on what you needed.

Hall of Fame
Here is the list of Legendary Pilgrims, pilgrims who have contributed enormously to the Brotherhood, whether or not they are still a part of it.

Suspicious Pilgrim: The first known professional assassin of PWmod (early v1), and creator of the Suspicious Brotherhood

Romulus: I have not seen him for a while, and he may not play Warband anymore, but he helped draft up the uniform and code of conduct for the early versions of the Brotherhood. Without him we'd be a ragtag band of cutthroats, not cold-blooded assassins.

Ariff Assad: He spent a lot of time training pilgrims who are with us today back in the 3.5 version of PW. It is a shame we don't have him anymore.

Tanochies: Suspicious Pilgrim's premier apprentice and the reviver of the Suspicious Brotherhood.

Here's Suspicious Pilgrim's life story.
Hailing from the Vaegir village of Fisdnar, Suspicious Pilgrim led a hard life. His father was a suspicious, surnameles man, who never told his son his profession or why he would abruptly leave him for months at a time, his weapons suddenly removed from the cottage and his dirt-encrusted robe off the coat hanger. The boy learned to hunt with a massive longbow, and to defend himself from other boys with a stave he carved himself.
One day, however, the young boy spotted his father coming back from another one of his odd voyages. His father, in a surly mood, accused him of spying on him during his trip and savagely whipped him. The evidence of mutilation lies on Suspicious Pilgrim's back today, even after all these years. His father often beat him and gave him punishments, but never had he suffered this severely.
In the dead of the night, the young teenager took his father's glaive and murdered him, hatred and spite being released with every brutal slash. After his father lay motionless he grabbed his father's longbow and his black stallion and stole away into the night, his new destiny ahead of him. He wandered into the city of Rivacheg, where he did a few odd-jobs here and there, barely scraping enough money to live. His many times of hunger explains his appeance of a vulture.
However, many years later, returning from a backbreaking job for only a few dozen denari, Suspicious Pilgrim staggered into the shared room where he lived with some blackhooded strangers. He found them outside, all armed with clubs. They stated that his father had been an assassin, who shamed the Suspicious Brotherhood by failing a high profile, public assassination. While they had not been able to catch and kill his father, they had took a vow to wipe out his family. Deciding to make the first move, Suspicious Pilgrim dashed outside, picking up his weapons, the last of his possessions that he had always refused to sell. He shot and slashed away at the scores of hooded men, and whether by miracle or amazing skill he killed all but a few of the pilgrims, showing the survivors he was the most skilled assassin of them all. He donned the fallen leader's Black Hood, proclaimed himself the survivors' leader and began his new living as a proffesional assassin.
Suspicious Pilgrim shows only mere shadows of emotion in almost all situations. Some whispers say that all his emotions such as happiness, regret, and even hatred were swept out of him when he murdered his father. Others say that only hatred and pure spite remain in him, causing only sarcastic and cryptic words from hs mouth, along with the dark humor he muses himself with after every assassination. He charges extra for it to be broadcasted to the public.

The Maso-Brotherhood Pact

The Maso-Brotherhood Pact was a deal signed by both the Suspicious Brotherhood and the Mason's Guild in days long gone. It entailed that the two assassin guilds operate in neutrality towards each other. It also stated that they'd hunt down assassins not affiliated with either guild that would not follow the guidelines specified in the pact. This pact, while originally drafted by the two guilds, can be joined by any assassins guild as long as they respect it's rules and uphold their duties. The Masons have supposedly been enforcing it, and the Brotherhood is enforcing the rules of it once again. Here are the guidelines.

1. You are not to advertise yourself in global chat.
2. You are to respect every guild that is a member of the Maso-Brotherhood Pact.
3. You will not give away details of a rival guild's contracts to their target if the chance is given, if they have signed the Pact.
4. You are to try to attempt to coax other non signers of the Pact to sign it.
5. Non signers who do not practice these guidelines must be hunted down by you and your men.

Information from the Suspicious Brotherhood thread.

Let all fear and respect the Brotherhood once more! We must clean the name of our work and clean up those who have dirtied it.

Looks fun, but my masonry caused me to build myself in.. Now i'm stuck behind a thick thiick brick wall..

A lot of the pilgrims live in NA, so we usually want to play on the NA server. Look for the NA server with the highest player count which is usually Nexus.

Theoretically a EU player would have to brave the Atlantic to find the majority of active Pilgrims, but you could return to the dirty agglomeration of mud hovels collectively known as "Europe" after training is complete.
