Okay, here's the laconian. I wasn't able to use the standard method, because I forgot exactly how to curve the handguard, but it still looks alright.



That little crease at the bottom (the pommel/hilt) was a uv-map error. I'll fix it before I release it.

That blade looks better. What exactly does the Laconian look like though?

I mean, it's fine anyway, I can fix it later. I did it with the other sword, and I have no idea how.

Oh, that's not that hard to fix. Use edge loops and scaling(literally, I can curve it in a few minutes if you handed me the model).

Should be able to get it to you in the next few hours (3 or so). In school, but at lunch, now. Then I have to dig through my 100 wings files to find the one for the laconian.

Well, I fixed the handle and the hilt a little, but the hilt should be flat. You might have to make a new hilt, which I can do later or you can do yourself.

Also, that scabbard looks a little too unrealistic. *Shrugs* It looks weird.

Is that what you wanted? I added a few edges to smooth the curve but I think my hilt has as much or as many polies as your old hilt had.

Looks good to me. I'll use the older one as some form of dagger with a bit of editing.

Hey specialist if you're still taking suggestions (and not too busy), a Gallic/Celtic sword would be very nice. We've already got Rath0s doing some shields.

Be careful with the last one, its some guy's artwork so don't copy it, but it does give a good idea of the variety of sword hilts possible.
Just PM me if you're interested in doing this (and if you'd like more info), I know you're busy though so its ok if you can't

Yeah, I agree the most important thing is maybe a bit more hilt variety (there's hardly going to be a discernible difference between the blades), so if you wouldn't mind just making some new variants of the current swords with different hilts, that would be wonderful (if you can find the time of course, I know you are busy with other mods).

Also, just out of curiosity, which weapons do you have that are ready to be added?

That last link is amazing! And btw, it doesn't matter if I use his artwork as a base...the 3d model is still my intellectual property.

That's what I thought, but wasn't quite sure. Better to be safe than sorry right?
