I only speak from my experience attending the houseparties of art/music students which have weed and people laying on the sofa playing guitars and smoking bongs. All of these have been spectacularly dull. Then there's the ones I've attended with my mates without weed, but with mountains of booze - The depraved acts which followed are known only in the mind of God.

Absinthe, of course, makes all the difference.

At a smallish house party on the night of the Football World Cup, after downing a bottle and a half of wine, I smoked a few joints. That **** had me dancing shirtless on the table until 7am.

They say, "beer before grass, you're on the arse", and I can testify to that, it gets you horizontal.

This post is mostly just to get this thread into the reply tracker. The notify system is to clumsy.

Used to smoke a lot when I was younger. Kinda lost interest though stopped doing it. But I have to admit that I'm getting the irk to smoke again as of late. Had a spliff a few weeks ago on a party and I was glad to find out that I'm no longer prone to puking when mixing THC and alcohol.
Also I was promised some stuff for the party tomorrow.

Gotta love how it feels to actually get high. I always felt like I could track the numbness spreading from my toes to my head, where it resulted in a pretty explosion of colours. Hm.. good times.

I live in California, and we have a pretty good pot market.  The vote to legalize, Proposition 19, is being voted on next month.  It is already decriminalized.

The medical marijuana clinics have varying prices depending on quality.  You can get a 7 dollar gram on the street, which won't be very good.  We call this the "shwags".  Often I see the clinics sell 1.4 grams for 20 dollars.  I've gotten prices from 10 to 20 dollars for a gram from street dealers.  An eight of an ounce will run you anywhere from 45 dollars to 60 dollars, again, depending on quality.

Once that vote passes, Imma take the first plane to California, hunt you down, and we can get high. Deal?
