Sure thing, but you see, arrows are a value asset, not to be wasted
To be honest, and for sake of example, in MP, i take one stack of arrows ( it's 30 i think ) and every round i finish with 9 to 15. I slay probably 2 to 3 with arrows. Not bad. I might get luck and *slash* a head in the meanwhile, while Kaltak, my faithful steppe "pony" kills another with a bump in the back before or after i'm dead, matters not ( yeah bump does full damage when hit in the back, so beware )
Nords have outstanding heavy infantry. They can storm places, hold them for a long time if needed be...but that's it. They cannot deploy fast, unfold to reach danger zones fast enough, cannot pin an enemy wherever they want...
But hey, they have the best shields, fine fine armor, fearsome 2H axes and murderous throwing axes.
Swadians are a good challenge, they are the standard all round army and field very good heavy cav and have the support of good xbows. Still they might loose more than they win. In SP it's phyrric victories, their strength so diminished they have to "strategically retreat" ( last night saw all the central Swadia area being sieged by the Khanate, swadia would win battles and relieve many of them, khergit would flee for a bit, then return for more of the same. Dhirrim changed hands 3 or 4 times in sequence. )
In MP, Swadians are a threat ONLY if well led and most of players battle very focused and organized.
Khergit demolish even when playing chaotic and disorganized most of times.
Now imagine a chaotic and organized play of the Khanate.
Awesome FUN.
