Regimental Information
Our regiment focuses on accurately representing the British army during the early 19th century. Our common goal is to use their discipline, formations, and tactics, whilst applying them in battle and in training.
Whilst other regiments may focus purely on combat, or on forming historical formations, a soldier from the 51st regiment knows how and when to apply each in battle.
If you are looking for an authentic regiment in which discipline, structure, and organization are unified, the Prince’s Own 51st might be the right regiment for you.

History of the 51st
The Prince’s Own 51st was founded in 1795 by Prince Edward IV. At first the 51st was used more as a militia, but as the war raged on, Colonel Lawford demanded it be deployed to the battlefield. The 51st first made a name for itself in India, at the Battle of Assaye, where it was on General Wellesley’s crucial left flank, facing a storm of cannon fire. After facing heavy casualties at the Siege of Gawilghur, the 51st was sent back to England where it remained inactive until it again, returned to the battlefield in 1809 under the command of Arthur Wellesley (the Duke of Wellington). Several companies of cavalry (Dragoons and Hussars), light infantry, and an attachment of artillery were later added to the now, massive strength of the 51st. Again the 51st made a name for themselves at the Battle of Waterloo, where they captured a French eagle.
