Communism would technically be more along the lines of Authoritarian Left than Libertarian. It's no real surprise that we're all fairly close, we're all from around equal economic/educational backgrounds and in roughly the same age group.

The biggest problem with this kind of test is that it generalizes the cause for a belief.

For example:

Subject 1:
The death sentence is wrong, killing someone is never morally justified and the state shouldn't have the right to take someone's life.

Subject 2:
The death sentence is wrong, it's economically inefficient compared to life imprisonment and takes up too much court time in appeals.

or

Subject 1:
Astrology is bogus, it's uncientific and a waste of time and money that prays on the stupid and gullible.

Subject 2:
Astrology is bogus, it's not part of my faith and is simply a foolish practice by people who are easily mislead from God's path.

Same responses, very different views and reasoning.
