@CJ1145 I can't delay the original game any longer, but by the sounds of it people would be up for a second game if this one goes well or if there were more people with a newer version.

Your cartridge is obviously a pansy. MissingNo. was of no problem to mine.
But I went and fettered all my items away. Except my infinite Master Balls... which I can't do anything about. Damned lack of item trading.

Not true, if you have pokemon stadium 1 or 2 for N64. You can trade items between all the versions no problem.

Actually, a serious question: Is the Safari Zone included in the "catch all pokemon" rule?

Wouldn't it just be simpler to say: Catch all pokemon possible, on your version, without trading (legendaries not included)?

Yeah, just for the frustration factor it should definitely be in there

Also, this means that you have to successfully catch every legendary.

One thing I've just realised I do want clarifying is, do you have to catch all pokemon in an area before you're allowed to move on, or can you go back to them afterwards?

No (you don't have to catch them all, before you move on), that was the case, originally but it got changed because it didn't work with Rule 3, about using the 1st pokemon you catch, throughout.

It does work fine, you only ever had to use basically your first two pokemon

Well the problem was that everyone would, automatically, end up with a Pidgeot because the first pokemon you catch would have to be a Pidgey or a Rattata.

So, technically, it works but it's stupid.

****. I just levelled caterpie up, so it would evolve and I wouldn't have to catch a metapod (wasted like 4 balls on one of those bastards) and then remembered that you can't evolve, before level 20. Now I'm pissed.
