I'm pretty sure there was a few guys who actually played without cheating to level 50 anyway...

That was before 0.7xx versions I think, the amount of experience required for that has increased by a whole lot.
Although... it took about 17,000,000 xp to get to level 52. If you take the average experience per kill to be 100, and killing 1 enemy every 2-3 seconds, it would take about 100-130 hours of playing to get to level 50-52. Not impossible, and if you space it over 2-3 months thats 1-2 hours per day. Who's up for it?!

You forgot, you couldnt import and export characters to save them back in the 0.600 days...
