I am totally tired of you people feeding what has now deteriorated into a fairly obvious troll as any reasonable person would've taken it to PMs ages ago.

Now, to wrench things back on topic (by asking a silly question, the best kind of topic), I read something about Polish Lancers not having lances a few pages back, and that got me wondering as to what kind of equipment other cavalry will have? Obviously there's going to be pistols and swords and all that, but will they have special things like... okay I actually don't know, just that it smacked as slightly odd for lancers to not have lances.
They don't have lances because they weren't issue them at the time of the mod... they became lancers a few months down the track, but that's stretching the date too far for L'Aigle.

I've no doubt that Austrian Uhlans and the like will be making fine use of the lance.

So my dream of glorious cavalry charges into musket lines still lives, though after realising it I might not

Okay. What would you change in the village? Give specific examples. Tell Docm what you want to see different in the village.
Go on.

More people? More buildings?

Apparently the buildings are the issue. People living in a village seem to have houses and barns.

I'd suggest that all buildings are replaced with giant versions of Guard Grenadier bearskins.

I think this is something we can all get behind.

They were actually called "Chevaux-legers" meaning light horse. So technically they weren't officially lancers at the time
Edit: Also, let's just take a moment to marvel at the Chevaux-legers Polonaise

Chevauxlegers Polonaise (or Szwoleżerowie, if you prefer Polish name) didn't get their lances until they actually defeated said "Austrian" Uhlans and used their lances during Battle of Wagram.

I had an interesting dream last night that Docm should do a video of a tour of L'aigle and I think maybe it's not a bad idea, then everybody will know where it's at .

I'm sure we'll find lancers eventually, like the KGL.

Why does it need to be so different? Who the hell is gonna spend all of their time in L'aigle admiring the peasant villages?

Me, for starters. I have intentions to properly play only the final version, but guess two times if I can keep myself from trying a bit beforehand?

I, too, would wish to see a new video.
I don'r think we've actually seen combat--maybe docm could show us a clip of  two lines clashing?

I second this idea, I loved Doc's videos showing the musicians and a shooting firing line but combat would be great.

That's two years old, and there isn't a single bayonet charge in it.
I'd like to see the shiny re-done uniforms and some bloody bayonets

Here's to hoping the melee system will make sense, swinging an object of that size and proportion was not an easy feat contrary to what's seen in NW and MM.

Problem is how to fix it...
