Pav, I don't see it as all that manly if he's running around and doing it in the shadows (although it's better than not at all). He is alpha enough to know if he tells her she will take half his ****. He likes all his ****, he likes having her make him dinner, he likes his kids having a stable home environment, and he likes getting side poos. His intelligence and finesse in the matter is what makes him alpha.
