Can we please take a moment to apreciate the horrible UI they have changed? Compare it with the old one... And look at they new health bars please, they look horrible... Having a modern UI in a medieval game is not the best idea.

Im just talking about the interface, not the world map, it has been improved, it's true but the interface looks like Cities Skylines and it's horrible. I'd prefer the old one. They could just improve the old one by making it more attractive without changing it completely.

That's all warriors of Calradia.

I like the UI...  I think it all works out nicely.

That's definitely an opinion you got there, not that should take away from your argument, it's just what do you suggest they do instead?

I personally don't find the ui itself that bad, but I would like to know what happened with those health bars. They looked good before, now they just look... weird, and bad.

Hmmm maybe I like the 2017 one more. Perhaps it's the fancy border all around it, or the fact it's not transparent.

About the health bars, I really can't tell. Both look fine to me. City interface is perfect as it is now, in my opinion.

The only thing I like more about the old ones is the bars separating units so it's very easy to see their stats across the board. Idk why they'd remove that. Other than that, I wouldn't have even noticed any changes, nor do I care even now that I clearly see the changes.

The health bar could go either way. I think they made it brighter so you could easily tell when it's low (or high) without even having to look at it directly...? Not a graphic artist here just a guess

Suppose that's possible, hadn't thought about it. To me the color just sticks out too much, and with the lack of definition around the edge it looks like it was stuck on after someone said "Hey, don't we need a health bar somewhere?".

Scenario:
The day is here. Bannerlord finally releases. First review: "It's all right, but I didn't like the design of the health bar."

Seriously though, I agree that the ones with a darker colour do look nicer.

Lol absolutely. All of this is nitpicking simply because it's all we have to look at lol

Yup, us nitpickers gonna nitpick when there isn't much else to do.

I think the new health bar is better to tell you if your health is full.
Because of the wide grey line in the previous health bar it could have been difficult to seperate a 46/47 health from 47/47 health for example.

Ofc this is one of the details but when they dont give much infonto such a huge community everything gets discussed.

EDIT: Not because of the grey bar but because of it getting narrower to the tip because of its sword like design.

I'm just saying that it looks horrible for a medieval game, so modern, I'd prefer the rustic one and as I said, I would have taken the old UI and clean it, not changed it all.

The only older thing I like more is the older health bar.

The new battle report screen is better.

And the old city/siege view is a toss up.  There are some things I like better about both of them.

Of course it won't stop us from playing it, but the old ones match better with Mount and Blade, I mean, they are not good, they needed more work but matched better than the new ones, I don't know if you understand me, maybe I'm not explaining myself correctly, sorry for my english.

I can understand you fine, man. I completely agree with you too. I like the feel of the old UI better for the health and town menus. Differences in the report screen are pretty negligible to me though. Either way, I'll be fine with it.

I agree w OP, the early Bannerlord UI looks cleaner and more thematically fitting. Health bars don’t bother me. I’d prefer some combination of the two. Minimal as possible, but less clunky and darker, more rustic looking

I imagine there'll be tons of ui mods anyway.

Of course, but here comes the same point as always, can we stand saying "modders will fix it" or do we have to say them that we aren't confortable with something? I actually like the native, and I would like to play it "clean" for a lot of time before playing it modded.
