Here's some gothic plate I'm working on:

#(pic of uber gothic plate)#

It's ridiculously high poly at the moment, the idea is that it can be used to generate normal maps and the like.

Release date: 3 days after Duke Nukem Forever.

really beutiful but It looks a bit to generic, like you see in most games and movies, to make it more like real the waist should probably come in a bit more and the greaves should flare/taper like a mans calf, other than that tis beutiful, also I beleive it would be a cool idea for you mod if you made plate armour almost impreginable, like real life, but maybye to compensate for the unfair strength it should only be available from custom order, like through a blacksmith npc who takes like 3 weeeks to make it...

EDIT: I beleive the the game will be better without firearms personally

I originally made those armors for spanish conquistadors then gave them to Dukes.

Nethoras: Tweaked waist + greaves.

Screenshots on page 1 !!!

You won't like me, though : I just realized that a lot of my items are high poly, and those of you who have not a nice computer will find it hard.

I should release the mod tomorrow, at the same hour.

Cheers !

Polygon count is over 20,000. I'm going to use it for normal mapping and texturing of a lower poly mesh.

The mod is ready to be downloaded !

Have fun, and don't forget to mention your opinions on this thread.
This is still a work in progress and i am very interested in everything you'll say.

pretty fast, thanks

I wasn't able to do scabbards, as  I have no animation program. But I played a bit with Python and all two handed weapons (except pikes, halberds and spears) can be seen on your back, and it doesn't look weird.
I removed or changed most of the Vanilla's weapons meshes, and equiped most of the troops with leathers jerkins/reinforced/studded armors and believe me, it looks reaaally cool.
The newest version of BRFEdit supports importing frame by creating several versions of the mesh and import them to an existing mesh. However, there is a good explanation in the BRFEdit thread.

Yeah...I have tried but wasn't able to do it.
I'll try again.

Luigi, one question. The Vaegirs look like Spanishes. Why???

You mean in the Dukes and Mercenaries Mod ?
That is not the case now, Vaegirs have a new look.

Unless the scabbards take a surprisingly long time, no. I'll have the armor done in 2-3 weeks at the earliest.
