Mr.X
Yo, TBG,
Just wanted to respond to your whole "this is a war game" posts.
So basically, as far as my understanding goes, clans in this game exist for different reasons. Some clans are created to "be the best" and basically own up the competitive side of the game. Others are created by groups of friends who want to extend their gaming horizons. Others still, are created for the purpose of setting up a fraternity of players who enjoy each others company and have fun playing together. The clan then decides whether or not they will be competitive. Some clans, like the first type mentioned, will be extremely focused on the competition. We'll call these clans "level one". Other clans choose to be competitive just for the fun of it, we'll call them "level two". Most clans fall around "1.5". Now it is not necessary for a competitive clan to hate/go to war with other clans, and if such a thing were to happen, both clans would have to be at the same "level of intensity", otherwise 1 party will not want to participate. The problem that you seem to be having is that TBG is at a level 1, which alone is fine, but when you start trying to have these clan wars with clans that aren't as serious about the competitiveness, due to the difference in levels, the clan wars do not work out.
The clan community of Warband, from what I've seen, does not host many level one's, and because of this, I think you'll find clans will more actively engage in inter-clan battles if you're mentality switches from something along the lines of "everything is about the clan battles and being the best" to something along the lines if "lets try to play a bunch of matches with other clans because its a fun thing to do, and lets not care too much about wining or losing. Let's not use excessive and inappropriate smack talk ingame because then noone will want to fight us".
That's all I can think of for now, copies of this will be posted in the threads as well as sent to Lion_Tamer over PM.
