You should describe what you've tried. Anyway:

Launch the game and go to 'configure' > 'game' > 'enable cheats'.
Start the game and go to your inventory or a shop and press Ctrl + X. That will give you 1000 denars each time.

If that fails, ask again.

Do not know if i have posted this in the right place but erm how come there is no lore or history or anything that leads to belive how these factions came to be in M&B world, a little sotry or history book whould be good

Are you sure you have bought the serial and don't still have the trial?
Cuz cheats don't work in trial.

I first seen M&B listed on Steam last week. This has been the best game deal ever, very addicting game, it's a lot of fun to play. I've started two games and both have been very different experiences.

My current game was rather unexpectedly surprising.... I kept mainly to being neutral and running around trading from time to time, and began hunting down both mountain bandits and sea raiders. amassing 230+ of (renown? cant remember) at level 12, I finally asked a Nord Castle Lord if I could do a task (my first in this game) The King suddenly sent me a message and granted me a fief to join him. My band of travellers included a pure nord cavalry group of 16 (+4NPCs). With fief, I buckled down and expanded my unit to 33 cavalry (all much 25th lvl). I decided to voluntarily help out in the Nord war against the Swad's. I joined a huge lopsided battle (Swad's were kickin butt) and rescued 3 Nord Lords from capture, (and meanwhile incurring a fellow Nord lords wrath by voting for another Lord for Marshall) now I'm building up my village... wee-fun, now I'm lvl 17.

My other game was a struggle with being captured right off the bat, by raiders, and then playing the arena (until I was level 15, lol).
I guess being the first game I played I was more reclusive from my experience in being enslaved.

The battles are always different, a little of this and that, really mixes it up, enjoyed my first siege experience last night too.

The one thing that perhaps I would like to see, and I don't think its really a big deal, however experience with the game helps... is actually identifying who is who on the battlefield. I was wondering if big RED letters over the enemy would work, but at the same time, it seems it would take-away from what an actual chaotic battle looks like.
However sometimes its irritating finding the last enemy, however the AI's seem to have no problem... I end up following the crowd like an outdoor public shinny-hockey game. lol, if anyone has experienced that, its like the trail of guys locked onto the puck slapping away.... everyone go here (hack, hack, hack...)  everyone go there (hack, hack, hack...).

Great game so far, can't wait to see how things further improve with the updates.
Thanks for the FAQ! it helped explain a lot!

Edit: BTW playing on an olde Athlon 64 3200+ processor 2.0Ghz with 2 gig 3200 DDR and ATI 1600pro card, everything on Native max-army size and highest settings, works great!

Try hitting 'O' to bring up the command interface. There'll be a minimap, with enemies shown as red dots.

Thx Orj, yeah, discovered that later lol, its like a battlemap. I'm getting good tho at reading shields :wink:

I've been trying to add custom music to mods by following this tutorial: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=152bfa0e3f23633647f99ae92377a7ea&topic=24458.0. However, I get an RGL error like this: "Unexpected end of file while reading file: Modules\ANY MODULE HERE\music.txt" all the time. Could someone point out what I might be doing wrong?

I did the following:
1- use mp3 files and put them on Music folder of mod;
2- change the number in the top of the music.txt file to match the existing music files plus the added ones;
3- put the name of the file below the said number like this: "example.mp3 1";
4- save, exit, I load the game and get the error.

thanks in advance

I'm afraid that's an old tutorial (from 2007) and is no longer valid with 1.011.
Try doing a search in The Forge/Apothecary on how to implement music. It's not so simple anymore.
I believe the module system is needed.

Yes unfortunately it is not as easy as before. I found a topic that has the answer (basically I need to use those numbers beside each music in the music.txt file in my custom music so that it plays in the corresponding time) http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=e858e23bb65d31519fac9e75851e9954&topic=53376.15. Here is a quote from "Scouten" from this thread explaining everything if anyone else needs:

1) go to your mount and blade main directory in the C:/ drive or where ever you have it.
default "C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade"

2) search the folder and find a .txt file called Music open this.
in this file it should look like this unless you changed some of it
(click to show/hide)

mount_and_blade_title_screen.ogg 4194432 4194432  (this is what you want).

3) go to where you have your music you want to add.

4) right click and rename the music file you want to play(if you want to rename it) my example will be "Menu_Music1"

5) copy the music file *Menu_Music1" into *Default* C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade\Music

6) pull up the music.txt file and find this line *mount_and_blade_title_screen.ogg 4194432 4194432*

7) replace as follows >  Menu_Music1.ogg 4194432 4194432
now the .ogg is just the file type yours may be .mp3, .wma, etc

8.) save the .txt file

9)launch mount and blade in native and see if you can hear the music

if you cannot make sure the .(filetype) is right

ADDING MUSIC TO MODULES(mods):

1) go to your mount and blade main directory default > C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade

2) open Modules folder

3) open the module(mod) folder that you want to add music too example: mymod

4) copy the music.txt file from C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade and paste it into the module folder yes to overwrite

5) copy the music folder from C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade into the module folder again yes to overwrite

6) launch mount and blade as mymod  (or what ever yours is called).

pm if you need even more clearer instructions!!!!!!
