The king Loves me?

Okay i joined the Swadian Empire and i've captured Curaw and two other castles (Please note that i am using the old version of Mount and blade due to my bad PC) I asked for all of them and he gave them to someone who had no participation in the capture - My relation ship with the king is 79

All I can say is keep trying, or rebel. You might be able to recapture those cities & castles which you already took with ease, as the NPCs don't garrison them very well unless they assist in capturing them (at least in Warband, I think it just spawns 80-110 troops in the original after it's assigned to an NPC  ).

That link is to a tweak that changes how the king gives out land. Un-tweaked, high relationship with a king gives less than 5% of the decision. You can tweak it so that that is increased, as well as change the bonus for capturing, and reducing the randomness involved with the decision. Well, just read the post.

Oh, and as usual back up your scripts.txt file before you do anything, as I don't know what version you're using and if the tweak is compatible.
