The Idea of Partial Clan Independence - True Vassal Clans

I think it's a good idea. An option to leave with fiefs if you have high relations with the ruling clan, or some other way would be good.
The alternative often creates a sudden power vacuum when the player goes to war with thier prior faction and is forced to beat them into submission.
You can pay for peace but often the price when you dump a faction is unreasonable high at first, so it make sense too at least defeat the faction until you've made enough money of loot and ransoms to cover the peace. The damage the player can do to a faction can really throw of the power balance in the world, especially if it's a more vulnerable faction (Empires, sometimes sturgia) who's been depending on the player for protection.

Thanks, yeah, I think it's just logical .... (Plus it could only benefit the gameplay experience).

So like a client kingdom? The game needs a CB and Alliance system to build on for that, but it's a good idea. With enough days in service + high relationships + it needs to be voted on similar to "expel Clan from Kingdom".

That said there should be some cons, like if you don't answer a call to arms you get CB'ed (yeah stolen from EU4), and you cannot become a Client Kingdom (or whatever it's called) if you're above a certain amount of fiefs, maybe 1 town & 1 castle, or 2 castles and if you conquer any more territory you have to turn it over to your suzerain or maybe you just lose a ton of relationships for declaring war as a semi-representative of your suzerain.

Could be an interesting way to lead into a civil war, or at least consolidate power while at war in preparation for declaring full independence. Lot's of cool avenues this can go down and the engine / framework is certainly capable of handling it. Will we ever see it? Ehhh, some of the Devs did not seem to be too keen on plans for Minor Factions let alone Civil Wars and this is definitely a huge one.
