the horse in my pocket

i started a new game as a "on foot only" player.

first i put my horse into my inventory window before selling it and was really suprised because it seems that the horse in my inventory affected my travel speed on the campaign map.

is it really possible to raise your travelspeed by having a few horses in your inventory (not riding them) and if yes then how many horses can i have before reaching the travel bonus limit? and do different horses, mean the riding speed, give different bonuses?

I think it's related to the size of inventory.... just collect as many horses as possible, since they don't require upkeep

i keep 3 coursers in my inventory. always, but i never use them though
