You can already take your party members into the dungeon with you. If you want your companions to enter with you, make sure the ones you want are at the top of the list in the Party screen. Whatever troops are at the top of the list are the ones that will enter the dungeon with you. Once in the dungeon, you can issue orders (such as follow or hold position) just like in a normal battle scene. You can also summon a few extra by pressing the 'n' key, but this only works once per visit.

And yes, there is a new dungeon in the next version. The Salt Mine now has its own "dungeon" scene. The entrance cave will have the potential to have bandit spawns. There is also a door at the back that will lead down into a more dangerous section of tunnels and caverns.

I am still working on trying to get a loot screen to pop-up after you kill a boss monster. If I can't get it to work, I can still have the script display a message telling you that you looted his corpse, and then just put the items in the player's inventory. But since I can't yet get the loot screen to pop-up, you'd have to find a treasure chest or exit the dungeon to access your inventory after looting.

I don't think journal entries will be in 1.22, nor will the steppe child background. Once 1.22 is released, I will begin work on the new character creation system.
 
Been playing the mod for a bit now, enjoying it, I just really didn't liked alot of the mounted combat, sometimes takes forever hunting down that last unit. I know everyone will vote against it, but I reckon ground>mounted combat.

having two armies on foot clashing is always epic, mounted combat just drags out the battle so long, and with soo many mounted units in the game, I hesistate to fight other heroes because I know it's going to be a long ass fight.

Anyway to increase the HP of the heroes/generals alot as well? always like having long drawn out fights with the leaders of the army.

completely agree with you Rezian, i wish i could find a mod that just took horses out of the game all together or made very few horses to only lords or something like that.
 
I've always been a big fan of the mounted combat in this game. I've never really had trouble hunting down the last mounted unit. But then, when I'm leading a large army, I always make the mounted units my first targets. And actually, I usually just ignore the riders. A few well-placed arrows and their horses go down. Then I move on to the next one and let my infantry deal with the fallen riders. And once I've dealt with all of the horses, I whip out my axe and help my infantry mop up the remaining enemy.

You're not the first to have expressed concern about the overabundance of mounted upper-tier troops though. Future versions of the mod will improve upon troop balance and further diversify the kingdoms and the ways they wage war. I will also eventually change the make-up of specific lord parties so that some lords might have a lot of cavalry, but others might concentrate specifically on infantry or siege troops, and then of course there will be others that attempt to maintain a variety of troop types. Balancing of the troops is something that is long overdue, and I'm almost to the point where I can turn my attention to that.

Yes. You can find them in a treasure chest in the dungeon. I think I made it to easy to get them actually, but it's no biggie. They're too expensive for most npcs to buy anyway. I've got plans to change the way loot is added to the treasure chests for the next version. Also, there is an npc that spawns in Dragon's Death (the ruins, not the dungeon) that sells focus crystals and a couple of other mage items, but he only spawns at night.

Oh.... :oops: And I just realized I forgot to change the fact that the player starts with the Red Kindle Sceptre, Mysterious Medal, and Book Of Lost Souls. :lol: That was only supposed to be for my playtesting. If you download it now, you'll get to start with those items. But I'm gonna fix the download so no one else starts with those items. :mrgreen:

Please do not flood the topic with links to upploading websites, the links that I posted work perfectly, there is no need for more links.
 
Sorry Knightmaster but those links you posted were terrible. The first won't give you more than a couple dozen kb for free users, the second was trying to run spool.exes on my system and respamming the same crap so fast I couldn't even get to the dl and the third kept trying to download a txt file, not a zip file... one of those links, I'm fairly sure the second, put some seriously annoying spam/malware on my system, have to run some system scans now to be rid of it.
 
My apologies, I did not realize that those web pages had spam/viruses ( I have visited them once so...). I am going to upload the file on Megavideo, it takes time for me to uppload it, but atleast it is safe for everybody.

It downloads fine for me. And it is also hosted on Filefront, so I don't know why you wouldn't have been able to download it if you were able to download the archive Knightmaster uploaded there. But yes, thank you Knightmaster. Now that I know that link is working, I'll add the link to the downloads thread.

EDIT: I also added the link to the first post in this thread.
