Steadily did he breathe, holding his musket close, tightening the bayonet. The sound of the trumpets rang and out called the Captain, "Foward, March!"
 
However, before the drummer could strike up a tune, James was thrown violently back onto the ground.
 
But upon closer inspection, what he at first thought was an arrow, was really a splinter of wood that had come off of a near-by building when it was hit by a cannon. The wound was only minor, so James' Sergeant pulled out the splinter, pulled James up, and told him to get back in-line.

Forward they marched. Left foot right foot to the sound of the drums...

My apologies for the atrocious grammar.
 
He ran screaming across the open ground, pitchfork in ground, filling the air with the deafening cries of "ALLAHU AKBAR!", until a cannon ball ripped through him, and...

Rallied the forlorn hope behind the banner, and charged at the French. His Scottish blood showed it's true colours as he screamed 'Come on, yer baastards!!'. Once...
 
Once the two sides clashed, the ground was colored red by blood and the enemy soldiers fell to James' bayonet one after another before....
 
Once they finished, not a single Frenchman that had sallyed-out was left standing. Now it was time climb the walls and get into the fort. James raised a ladder onto the walls. And then...
 
And then, with the colours in his hands, he took the first steps, shouting back his mates: UP! NO MERCY!
 
With this dramatic statement, exactly on cue, 12 pounder artillery, with a perfect aim, flensed the wall of all current opposition with a well placed canister shot, leaving this part of the wall open for the taking, for the time being...
 
but the ladder also got destroyed. James was alone with 1000's of french men charging at him....
