write a little script to insert them.
Sort of a pick and choose option.

Greg_G 说:The problem with automating this is that the UV mapping of the textures is a little wonky, or at least seemed that way to me. I had to try over and over again to get my banner to display decently in game (I "overwrote" the black/white eagle banner used for Khan). The pixel aspect ratio is definitely not 1:1 on that one. And I get the feeling it might vary from position to position inside the DDS. For example, the widths of the banners vary even within the first DDS. But I'm no expert in the matter so hopefully I'm off base.

And it doesnt matter how you call him, you will soon bow down to him
BTW: He really should be Emperor, too many Kings and Kingdoms in native.

I'm sure RayvenQ won't mind me posting the file depository link here as long as he gets credited for his help.Orion 说:Speaking of which, I'd appreciate having some blanks to tamper with, instead of having to edit out what is on the current banners. Where could I get that blank?

Hmm... "Inverted in the lower" is the kind of thing you'd expect from a modern sense of symmetry, not a medieval one. To a medieval eye, that's not one charge surrounded by two of another charge, that's just three seperate charges, which is somewhat cluttery.Ironlion45 说:Ah, this sounded like fun.... So i did it! And, went through the extra effort to make it properly heraldic
The banner of Laird William The Unconquered (of Swadia):

Blazon: Or, A lion rampant gules, between two laurel wreaths vert, inverted the lower.
(that's right, I speak heraldric)

Not that there's any reason for you to strive for "period correctness", and that level of clutter is perfectly in later periods as arms started to get marshalled into absurdity, I just want to make sure your decision is deliberate, and not born of ignorance.
