BTW: He really should be Emperor, too many Kings and Kingdoms in native.

We would make him an emperor if he had an empire. As it is right now, he has lost his only harbour and the capital to the Nordic armies, and he's left enclosed in the middle of a country by four armies as great as his own. Harlaus isn't an Emperor of an Empire, he's a Bastard of a Bastion.

He said he should be emperor, he didn't say he was an emperor.

You'll need to open (into an program like Photoshop) one of the banner .dds files from the Textures folder in your Mount&Blade folder, and then copy your custom banner over one of those in the image.

Then select it in-game.

I downloaded and installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 and it can't open the banner.dds files?
What version of photoshop did you use?

I use version 7 for .dds. Old version forever!

I should mention that the horse art is not by me; I just significantly tweaked some free clipart.  I also need to improve the highlights where they cross the dark bands so they don't look so flat.  I'll get to it eventually, or not, it doesn't really show in-game.
