The Guild of Masonry and The Lotus Society
An very old group of elite assassins ( over a year since founding woo! ), removing the filth of society and protecting the common man using unconventional means.
Agents are expected to be able to defend themselves in both ranged, melee and unconventional means. as well as been able to eliminate a target and escape without been seen.

The guild of masonry are still craftsmen and builders and often inspect castles and walls for weaknesses for clients. Also while using our profits to fund tournaments for the masses ( which is also a method recruiting the best fighters to our order )

As one of the oldest assassin orders in existence The Society only recruit men and women who are exceptionally talented at what they do.
So naturally you have to be both a impressive and resourceful roleplayer as well great with a ranged weapon.

The Maso-Brotherhood Pact was a deal signed by both the Suspicious Brotherhood and the Mason's Guild in days long gone. It entailed that the two assassin guilds operate in neutrality towards each other. It also stated that they'd hunt down assassins not affiliated with either guild that would not follow the guidelines specified in the pact. This pact, while originally drafted by the two guilds, can be joined by any assassins guild as long as they respect it's rules and uphold their duties. The Masons are long gone, but the Brotherhood has begun enforcing the rules of it once again. Here are the guidelines.
The green rule is a mason specific rule, as if assassins are public it puts more strain on the town watch to protect borders and checkpoints the masons eliminate bad assassins to prevent security increasing.
1. You are not to advertise yourself in global chat.
2. You are to respect every guild that is a member of the Maso-Brotherhood Pact.
3. You will not give away details of a rival guild's contracts to their target if the chance is given, if they have signed the Pact.
4. You are to try to attempt to coax other non signers of the Pact to sign it.
5. Non signers who do not practice these guidelines must be hunted down by you and your men.
6. All contract related chat should be done in a private area away from witnesses, Public areas are watched by masons for pact breakers.

The Guild Of Masonry is the Public name for this group, The Masons have being employed for hundreds of years as builders, craftsmen and architects of the great castles and fortifications (since pre 1000AD) that you see around the world, They are currently owned by the House of Fenwick, An Ancient and noble family which was granted vast riches and influence due to the expertise and exquisite designed fortifications they commissioned for the old now forgotten Kings Queen and emperors.
As builders the guild of masons would build for everyone who had the large funds required for service, as a neutral party the masons were granted access to fortifications all over the continent to provide safe havens for the serfs and farmers that relied on Kings and Nobility for protection. This is where the story begins...after finishing a job constructing a Roman era fort for a local garrison the then Head of House Fenwick, Robert witnessed his creations being used as a tool for en-slavery and to protect the fat tyrants hiding behind its walls while his soldiers would plunder and pillage the surrounding villages for food and gold.
Robert on seeing this founded the Lotus Society using his knowledge of craftsmanship all new fortifications were designed to allow for secret passageways and entrances.
Originally the existence of these passages was covertly given to rival factions lead by honourable nobility in an attempt to crush tyrants from the country, but this lead to slaughter of everyone inside of the walls including innocent servants and children as was war at the time. This led to the new phase of the Lotus society, instead of sending armies into these tunnels risking failure if found Robert started sending small teams of loyal agents into a keep to eliminate the leaders and any abusive men one at a time in 1 night entire castles would be purged of its evil allowing for more suitable leaders to take its place.
The first methods of this involved simple covert methods such as poisoning of food and water supplies and planting of evidence leading to a execution for treason. but these methods often led to additional innocent bloodshed as the cooks or messengers got blamed and imprisoned themselves. The Society started to devise new methods of problem solving eventually favouring 1 Ranged weapon shot into the head of the target which usually used in a public place for maximum effect showed tyrants that they were always a target forcing them to hide behind the walls the Guild had made for them
Masons can use whatever tools and outfits they want to get the mission done, preferably without shreding the blood of innocents or neutral groups.
After several incidents involving Artefacts of unusual properties Robert condoned teams to search and retrieve artefacts to firstly keep them out of the wrong hands and to use them for good. Robert himself was accidentally merged with a certain artifact with special properties, which we know call the philosophers stone although this wasn't without side effects.
Several hundred years later during the medieval period, the masons are now a large influential builders guild, hired to all kings and queens of the realm for a fee, with the creation of the White lotus trading company the Lotus society was able to move around Caladria without suspicion as well as making a small fortune from the trading.
