The Game Still Feels Incomplete

*Hono(u)r/dishono(u)r. This feature has been in since .900. A little underwhelming in practice, considering how gigantically obsessed the noble folks were about honor back in the age of chivalry. There are very few ways to lose or gain it, and it mostly works behind the scenes if it works at all. Its main effects seem to be aligning you with or against the honorable and dishonorable lords and perhaps getting you a slightly expanded quest selection with ladies and suchlike.

Erm ... this is exactly what an appropriate use of honor would be. You can have lords that you just meet have a relation of 20, 30, or more just from being honorable. That's priceless, because you have an automatic ally. What more should it do?

...Huh. I don't really have any ideas in that area, but it feels like there should be something.

Besides, I'm not a modder like you are. I can just ***** and moan all day without having any productive solutions to change things.

Although there are things that would greatly improve the game, I still think it feels complete. In fact that was the fist thing I thought when I got 1.0

Yes, and so have you already. I've never considered it a problem though to be honest with you. It never even crossed my mind until some guy started whining about it as if the 'problem' had just kicked him in the shin.

it doesnt bother you that half the heraldic banners have been unusable for several versions of M&B because they appear to hang sideways on the world map?

its obviously a bug and an easily fixable bug at that, why they still haven't fixed it is beyond me.

maybe its because of people like you who don't care about flags

fix the flags!

If armagan doesn't see it as a bug (and he does play it regularly) then it probably isn't. And how are banners 'usable' anyway?

I'd personally like to see an eagles eye view of placing my troops before the enemie rush's into my castle/keep/city. This would help strategically placing archers and melee troops. It's more of a 'realistic' feel of a battle instead of having 2 clumped up piles of melee and another of archers.

stop excusing the existence of BUGS please, im not an idiot and dont try to convince me that the fleur de lis is supposed to hang sideways

how are banners useable? y'know when you make a noble, it prompts you to choose a heraldic banner? well some of them look ok on the world map but many others hang sideways

its such a ridiculous, stupid little bug thats easy to fix so stop saying its a feature, stop excusing this design flaw and demand it be fixed already alongside me

fight the power, fix the flags!

The flags aren't square, so on the world map, the flag is wider than it is tall. Obviously that's going to orient the flag sideways. Who the **** cares? I'm more irked that the designs show up on the belt of my heraldric mail, instead of the chest.

Actually, that one Swadian castle has two ladders.

It's pretty sweet stuff.

I forgot what it was called - it was the one right next to the mountain bandits.

Some of the sieges are pretty neat! Walls within walls, hills for your archers. At least they added a lot of time customizing the castles. Must have been a lot of hard work!

If the game feels complete, let me ask this. If you paid 39 dollars for the retail version of M&B, would you feel like you were ripped off?

Vyncourd has two ladders now?  Cool .
