The game doesnt start at all

I installed the game, and any time i try to launch it it doesnt do anything. The cursor is changing for the loading state for a few secs, but nothing else. I looked for the running processes, and the game exe also exits after a few seconds. No error messages, nothing...
Any idea?
(p4 2,4 GHz, Radeon 9600, 1 GB DDR)

My own fix for it was to disable hyperthreading. THere are other fixes which may or may not work for you.
