Alright I am fairly new to these forums and so I am not acquainted with
the forum ranks. I did notice however that based on the amount of posts a different weapon is displayed.
I personally think it is great.

I do have a suggestion though(This is something that is a SUGGESTION to the current system ):
And please Its just a suggestion so don'T

Since there is a system for choosing which faction you like it would be cool if each of us had our own "unique armory"
so to speak. At a reasonable post count (50-100) you would get a credit to spend on an item/weapon (Goods would be included)
based on what faction you chose (there would be one for neutral also). Some would cost more/less, and they could be traded among forum members.
Then you could select a weapon/good to "equip" regardless of your post count.

Optionally---
Optionally you could also make your own but a player chosen committe (based on activity over post count) would
do a "quality control". [to prevent say someone uploading a couple pixels and saying it should be in]

What do you guys think about that?

You should do more research on how the Rank system works, used to work.

Also, did you really have to post the same thread in two boards?

Forum ranks are not based on post count, but rather by time spent online. I'm a fan of the current system. The weapons are easy to see and give a good indication of how dedicated the person is to the forum, which is what it should represent. Having a different weapon "tree" for each faction would be too confusing for new people, and somewhat pointless. Having the faction listed in the profile is enough. Having custom weapons would simply add more work for the moderators, and it would get out of hand very quickly. I say, keep things the way they are.

Rank is earned by amount of time spent on the forums, not by post count. If you had done a little research, you would have known this.

Your idea is to put it quite frankly, stupid, and will never be implemented. There is nothing wrong with the way it's done now and I'm sure the admins have no desire to change it.

Yes, why?

Edit:  I personally love the way it is now because if we still used an old way, a person could come here wanting to be a cool person so he posts a bunch of spam stuff and within a day he would be ranked a knight and there would be tons of flaming at him.

This is a fourm, not a Online-Multiplayer-Game-With-Minimum-Amount-Of-Visuals. Therefore there is no point.

The ranking system is fine as it is. Ranking is pointless anyway -- its only use is to advise newbies who on the board is ranked 'higher' than them. In this case, ranking = time spent on line, so it amounts to the people with high ranks being the folks with complete lack of social lives, and probably having to wear bags over their heads because of their terrifying visage.

I like the current ranking system, because it places me at the top of the regular members (obviously not counting the mods/admins etc), and I still don't need no paper bag.
