1066? I absolutely did, but it was years ago, waaaaaay before I joined the forum. However, I've been lurking around, getting news on mods for a loooooong time.

So many pastels in that mod...

I don't think you played their mod, did you?

It did have some features that made it somewhat unique. For example, I think it was with 1066 that you could first capture cities.

Basically he's claiming that since he's in the intelligence branch of the Finnish military, all records of his life need to be erased, in case he's captured. Basically, a load of bull****.

US Military, I'd understand. But Norwegian? Come on. It wasn't even a career, it was National Service!

Also, I can't believe I completely forgot about the "Battle for Sicily" mod; does nijis have any intentions of continuing that?

Might be I get to come back once I hold a position of a little bit more trust. Might be a year or two or three off, though, so don't hold your breath."

Ahh yes, I remeber now. I saw their first bit of talking about trying to sell the mod but I didn't check back on the thread (thus missing the incident). I agree about BFS, it was probably the best mod of it's time; I wish native had taken more inspiration from it's tax system.

Gosh, I hope so, but didn't he actually end up joining TW? If so, I doubt he'll have time for any mods, but maybe Mount&Blade 2 could focus on a historical area, rather than Calradia. Sicily was certainly a good setting for the singleplayer game.

I don't buy that at all. The only branch I'm aware of that gets rid of your past is the French foreign legion, and that's something they do out of convenience when recruits have criminal records, to shelter them from the authorities. And it only lasts for as long as they're in the legion.

Not even the CIA or NSA require the eradication of one's personal history. There, like here in Norway, there are very strict requirements regarding your record. It has to be squeeeeaaaky-clean, or they'll simply not take you in. And so long as your record is squeaky-clean, there's nothing to erase, is there? It is far easier to investigate someone and approve them than investigate someone, trust them to wipe their own history and burn all closets containing skeletons, and THEN approve them. Why hire someone if it requires identity change?

I was there, I saw the whoooole thing. If you want the gory details, I could always PM them to you, but in that case you should also get a second opinion from "the other side".

Thats what I thought, we discussed it somewhere else just a day or so ago. Then I said I will only allow him to end his life by his own hand if he crafts a Claymore and decapitates himself.
