@OP: We also had the issue with the profanity filter that caused many a good forumite to leave the forum, including LL. Seff also left, but he returned after that. The profanity filter at first just changed the words (such "****" into "duck") but then it changed them into stars, but all the while it wasn't possible for you to remove it if you wanted. Then after some good ol' ****storm they implemented the option of making it... optional.

And I missed that? ****!

But why would anyone leave on account of that? I remember LL leaving because of the Colt/Tegan/Pavlov incident (remember that one, boys and girls?). Yoshiboy too, but for other reasons as well. But LL came back, and his last post was only a couple weeks ago. I can't imagine the profanity filter thingie being bigger than the Pavlov thingie.

Hmm, haven't seen him around. Probably not visiting the right forums. But then, I just returned from a little hiatus myself.


Oh, and Raptor - I thought he was long gone too, but he has been active semi-recently. I owe him my first born because of the weapon expansion he did a while back (he made models of a bunch of Albion swords, which have cropped up in many mods after that <3 ), and also for the stuff he's made for Morrowind.

Anyway, once upon a time there were two modders, husband and wife in fact. Well, I don't know if they were actually married, but they were boyfriend/girlfriend, lived together and stuff. They made a decent mod, one of the big mods at the time.

There is a WHOLE story about it, and it may be in poor taste to post it here, but suffice it to say that the two modders came to blows with Pavlov, resulting in Pavlov resigning as admin and leaving the forum (at least for a while). How to summarize... ka-BOOOM! taka-taka-taka-taka <eeeeeEEEEEEEE> BLAM! Two moderators and an administrator gone, three or four other members also, all in protest. I was there, I saw the whoooole thing. If you want the gory details, I could always PM them to you, but in that case you should also get a second opinion from "the other side".

Yes. It was a really good mod when I played it, but there's no way I'm going to purchase a mod. And the Battle For Sicily mod made it obsolete, in my opinion.
