There was a time when there was but one king in Ciandra.  But there came an uprising among the citizens of the East who did not cherish the customs of the Elder Kingdom. at the conclusion of the Great War, the armies of the East withdrew beyond the river Undae, past the Carster Mountains and formed a new Kingdom, that of Anshy, for the King who founded it. Opposite the Great River now stood the Kingdom of Vangred

the map:

it's about 4 times as large as native.

planned features:
-complete weapons replacement
-no polearms or crossbows, they just don't fit with my theme (I have however, decided to have some throwing spears and maybe a glaive here and there)
-complete armor replacement (a different type for every troop type hopefully; which would be over 50)
-3 main factions: Anshy, Vangred, Trebay plus a *secret* group that'll appear later in the game
-new troop trees, only 3-4 tiered, skipping some of the native tiers (e.g. 5-15-25-40)
-town capture system (hopefullyactually, I'm wavering on this, not sure I really want it implemented.)
-at least one AI initiated castle siege (if possible to do yet)
-new castle/town scenes
-hope to impliment a camp system similar to CraftMod
-army camps for all 3 factions, allowing you to talk with the generals, lieutenants, etc. of your army.
-will try to implement two "Zendars" named differently of course
-plenty of recruitable NPC heroes (thinking 3-5 per faction)
-may add some weapons from Raptor's pack, not sure yet.
-probably add the Arena expansion.
-war system similar to TLD
-very large war parties once the war officially begins

as of now, I'm mainly looking for texturers and someone to help with the coding. I think most of the armors can be basically retextured versions of meshes that already exist.
 
Trying to take the best features of a few mods and combine them into a new background?  Or not...........

In any case, looks fairly promising.

never played that game before, just a name I came up with about 4 years ago. it's the setting of a screenplay I'm writing :wink:

Jagger: not totally. it's just taking this world I've created and putting it into an awesome game  :mrgreen: getting some of the small things I enjoy from other mods is also part of that.

octoburn, you said that the map will be 4 times large as native. Doesn't the loading time be as long as Onin no Ran's map ?
 
not if he doesn't fourth-double the number of vertices if I'm not wrong. onin no ran's map are very detailed.

I scaled the native map to four times as large, only took 10 kb more space
 
the load time's pretty minimal, far as I can tell. may just be my new laptop's speed though :lol: my map is 1763 KB, while native is 1968 KB. go figure  :???:

for the camp system? yeah, I was thinking of asking what exactly needs to be copied over to get that implemented.

the 4 tier trees will go as such: 5>15>25>40
3 tiers will go: 10>25>40

seriously, the main thing I need is someone who can texture, I suck at it badly :sad: if I had someone to texture, I could get out a rough release fairly soon.
 
Just a minor little thing, wouldn't it be 'Rise and Fall' - the name makes it sound like it falls then rises again :razz: Which could be the case. But I shall stop now :grin:

nope. an intentional play on words. the "fall" takes place in the prologue at the beginning; the dividing of the Kingdom. the "rise" is the reuniting of the Kingdom under one king.
