Sending millions of literal drunks and convicts to beat up and annex sparsely populated hunter-gatherer communities over a period of 300 years: Huzzah!!1

In ur face, India.

Edit: Also still the best summary of English colonialism to date

And furthermore, the only reason Britain had "no" invasion is because they're a bloody island and have a huge defensive advantage and not thanks to any kind of particular british trait or skill.
Naval superiority is a trait

One which fell decidedly short in both my examples!

And let's be honest. You can't beat British History, there's so much.

To piss you off, I think any Italian would happily contest that claim.

Strait (of Dover) is a trait.  :iamamoron:

And China, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Greece etc.

It's OP to play the naval superiority faction on ocean worlds.

Kind of sucks when the late game kicks in and you lose it, though.

It's actually Britain and Friends because NATO was a British idea.

So were concentration camps but that's what ideas are for, spreading around so that everyone can use them.

And I think everyone's happier for the spread of that invention.

Might want to try sourcing your claim, as I can't seem to find anything confirming that NATO was in any way specifically linked to UK.

So that means what he says isn't true?

Obama reads what his speechwriters write. They may not fact check all that well. Or maybe they were just playing for their audience, as stating that it was a "British idea" is not the same thing exactly as stating that it was "solely or mostly a British idea". It could be fairly said to be an idea belonging to many countries.

As negotiations for an Atlantic alliance proceeded in 1948, the United States' positions prevailed in almost all the issues – from overcoming European reluctance to admit such "stepping-stone" nations as Norway and Portugal as charter members to the establishment of a Standing Group composed of France, the United Kingdom and the United States, after the treaty was signed, to make the key decisions for the Military Committee. Not surprisingly, the signing of the treaty took place in Washington, not in Bermuda as the British had suggested, or in Paris where so many US treaties had been concluded in the past. The Truman administration intervened in Korea without consulting any of its NATO Allies.

US overwhelmingly dominated the alliance from its conception.

The fact is, it was a British idea and maybe a few other countries. But the fact is, the it was a British idea, that may have been developed with other countries.

FTFY. Equally valid (and perhaps more accurate) to phrase it that way. Or you can just keep up this nonsense without providing any legitimate source for your claim. I already provided one showing the opposite.
