This is exactly the same thing that I got.
"Suddenly, witches are younger and cuter, definitely cuter. Hollywood is good at picking up on trends. . . . By making the witches cuter and more huggable, they can appeal to a larger audience, including women and younger kids.
Mreow.
Nevertheless, the research organization Mediascope reports: "Studies show that the preference for heavy metal music may be a significant indicator for alienation, substance abuse, psychiatric disorders, suicide risks . . . or risk-taking behaviors during adolescence, but music is not the cause of these behaviors. It is hypothesized that teenagers already struggling with those issues may be attracted to heavy metal music, because the lyrics express their own troubled feelings."
Bull****. You dunces know nothing about suicide. I don't know much, but I think I know more than they do. And I know a few people who have had friends commit suicide, and two of them attempted suicide once.
As I said before in the thread about the video Jesus Camp, the JWs have some good points, but I am against (what I presume most of them, but not all) shoving your religion into other people's faces, homophoebia is sick, I don't believe in magic and I think Wiccans are cool, and the GET THE HELL OUT OF GOVERNMENT.
Besides that I don't really care about people's religions. If you believe in religion, that's cool with me. If you want to force your religion down people's throats and/or destroy other religions and/or people who are different from you, well, there is a cull needed for the human population.
Yeah, that's the negative part of my view on religion. Maybe not written perfectly, but it will suffice.
There are a lot of funny joeks about JWs, but there are jokes about everything, some are "worse" than others, and also it can depend on the person saying the joke and how they are using it sometimes. I do applaude JWs for being able to have the courage to go around and spread their word, as no doubt they know they are laughed at by people.

Interesting.
It seems to me that this book is painting a portrait of a world gone mad with violence with ignorance of its own religion. It seems as though the orgainzed religion that bears "rotten fruit" will become self destructive. Maybe if people studied the grass roots of a religion and followed those values instead of following others interpretations of those values, people would see that organized religion isnt bad, its just the people who interpret it are "misguided". I dunno, just my thoughts. Great topic though.
Agreed. This is a good point they do have.

People sometimes walk a dangerous line in that type of thinking. People who follow that train of thought might base their views on anothers religion just because of a select group of people who might be misguided in their actions. Religion, like other things in life, should be taken with a grain of salt.
Also agreed, religion is open to inerpretation by the individual, which is both good and bad. Good in that people can view it in a way that works for them. Bad in that it can be used as a powerful tool.
