Hi all!

I'm new here, dl'd the game and bought the serial code after a few hours. Very nice game, and charging around with a lance is dead fun.. but so is archery and everything else too. :D

But!

I have a question I haven't been able to find the answer to in the FAQ, manual, or (a quick) forum search.

I've noticed a lot of heroes, as well as units, has skills such as trade, leadership, first aid, tactics, etcetera.

Some are listed as leader skills, party skills, or personal skills.

Could some kind soul explain the follwoing:
1: What is the exact difference between leader, party and personal.
2: How does the NPC's skills affect the hero/troop? I have noticed M's tracking/spotting etc. skill works on the world map, for instance.

In advance, thanks!

Regards,
Rune

personal skill: have effect for the npc/pc
party skill: the hightest in the party counts
leader skill: works only for the leader

Welcome to the forums, Rune. :)

Fesfesfes seems to have answered your questions ... just in a very brief way. ;)

If you have any other questions, feel free to post it if you are unable to find it in the FAQ or through using the site's search function.

Hope to see you around,

To be specific, Personal skills are the ones that (usually) affect only the single character that has it, Party Skills affect the whole party (only you and the heroes may have these), and Leader skills are the ones that only you can choose.

Thanks for the answers, guys!

Hm... only the heroes? I've noticed some of the 'regular' units has skills like trade, and I wouldn't be surprised if others had spotting or tracking (would make sense with a scout outrider class - high speed units that would both help spotting and help the speed of the group, but aren't much use in combat).

However, units with those skills doesn't actually use their skills.. okay.

They should. :D

I've allready used more time on this game than many full-price ones, it has that undefinable 'just one more batttle' quality. Don't ruin that, whatever else is changed...

Also, it should be noted that for party skills, it is only the player/NPC with the highest skill that gets used. For example, if you have tracking of 2 and Borcha has tracking of 3, the party's tracking skill is 3. If you bring up the party screen on the world map, you can see who is contributing what to the party in terms of skills.
