The dev is beating around the bush

Huh? That is so silly.

You know they didn't bother to test this change on the beta and just released to the live release,

Silly...telling someone how something should be done when you were never a part of the process before and have no knowledge or experience of is SILLY.

Early Access is for testing, they dont need to do it...we do. And yeah, I reminded you that this is early access, deal with that thing called reality.

idk for some reason i thought you are saying that modders implementing something express what people desire the most, no idea where it came from xd. But you still mention it, so i must repeat myself that if modder makes something it doesnt mean community wants it. Maybe only popular ones.
I quickly asked the Jailbreak developer yesterday whether he create scripts because he wants them, or because he wants to play them together with others. Guess what response I got? I wouldn't expect any other answer from FSE, PK and so forth modders/developers. By your logic, that must mean TaleWorlds create games because they want them, not because we want them. In the end, you answer your own question.

Modders are a part of the community, unlike TaleWorlds which sometimes appear to dislike interacting with us on a commoner level (not counting moderators). That's why modders know what we as a community want. They rarely need to ask because we have a similar pop culture and language framework since Mount & Blade is a very niche genre and thus also a niche community. You are not far away from liking M&B mods such as LOTR or GoT-references as long as the genres are RPGs, the medieval era, massive battles, etc.

Oh well thats good to hear, meaning TW has some vision of the game. Im glad to know that if reddit goes mad about some bull**** that doesn't mean TW gonna go full retard just to please the mob. Maybe i look at it through the pink goggles but lol do you really expect me to read all the beta forum?
Ah, yes. They did let us beta test the multi-player, and when we later realized bad changes such as the class system (it'd maybe make sense to have in competitive matchmaking, but not on casual servers), then they ignored the feedback and that make sense according to you. It's really obvious that you're out-of-loop and compensating for the lack of knowledge when you are sarcastic and deny what an overwhelming amount of the community, which is usually unable to agree on matters, has collectively deemed unreasonable, just because you're paid by the regime to shill the game.

"For this purpose, we intend to introduce 2 additional branches to Steam. Aside from our public branch, which players will use by default, we will also offer opt-in alpha and beta branches.

The beta branch will include content that has gone through our internal testing and will be exposed to public testers for at least one week. During this period, we will address discovered issues with hotfixes. Our goal is a weekly cycle where we push our internal version to the beta and the prior beta version to the main Steam build. However, if serious challenges arise, we may delay an update until those issues have been addressed.

The alpha branch will include content that is untested. It is intended for players, modders and explorers that wish to be as close to development as possible - even at the cost of stability. Our goal is to update it daily with our latest development branch. "

But in terms of the caravan debacle specifically, they have indeed mentioned that it is still in the works, so you can disregard my first post to you.

Still, you really don't know what you are talking about, so give it a break. Thanks!

This tread was active for 5 DAYS! Come on why is it always this kind of posts that gain attention?
Because certain members of this forum keep bringing up the same old topics every opportunity they get and it´s always the same arguments for and against whatever it is. At least people here are mostly civil, you should have seen when some of the beta members were having a collective nervous breakdown over the class system, both those who liked it and those who really didn´t. There´s no one as melodramatic as gamers lmao

I kind of agree with your sentiment, but not wholeheartedly. The caravan change was really unnecessary and it will get wiped out once some solid features are implemented, but come on - barely three weeks have passed. They fixed so much crashes and bugs, made the game playable and able to absorb tens of hours of people's time. Have some patience, and give some credit to the devs where credit is due.

Caravans are still a great income.
I sincerely doubt they will ever revert the caravans to not be attacked by bandits... Bandit life is built around attacking people to get resources. In fact Caravans are faster than most of bandits... I foresee more measures around enemies and bandits targeting caravans. Not only your caravans, caravans all around the map.
You should go protect your caravans or assign parties in your clan to escort caravans. Now the parties do what they want maybe we have some control around what they do in future patches something like: protect caravans, build relations, recruit to build a army, raise level of your troops, reinforce garrisons...

Let them work every change they do has a reason even if we can't understand it.

I think all these rants are just because the game is indeed very playable and very fun with lots of gameplay hours and we want it all and we want it now! but we have to remember it is an early access the promised game will come in 2021.

I don't know how many developers they have but limiting caravans from 80 to 30 probably requires 1 man hour and a few more hours of mostly passive testing.
Mexxico probably spend less time with the change than he spend with discussions on the forums...
So I'd say the complaint is pretty invalid unless the entire dev team is occupied with changing one number.

Caravans should not be capped at 30 troops. Caravans should grow just like armies. The bigger they are, the more merchandise they can move, which in turn means more guards. This should be a thing, I don't know why it isn't.

*EDIT*: Of course I realize this could be game-breaking, but there can be diminishing returns to it. Guards defecting or leaving after every town, wages not being paid and so on. However, limiting caravans to 30 guards when kingdoms can amass mega 1000+ armies is silly.

Devs are working on different things. Game designers can tweak some configs for caravans/prices/items, while programmers work on finishing/fixing/refactoring complex systems, which can take weeks to months. So if we see a patch with insignificant changes, that doesn't mean the whole team was busy with this very thing.

But, what they are doing wrong with all these patches - not informing us on what they currently work on. All the community is at a loss whether they hear us, whether they are going to do something about perks, AI, relations and so on.. I don't understand why do we have zero feedback from devs. It seems not difficult to write a couple of lines, share some information, and not make people guess and create endless threads about the same problems.

Judging by the patch notes currently they don't care about anything but crashes and performance, occasionally making tiny tweaks.

Because they cant. it is easy to put a picture that describes a perk....not easy to make it work. So they come with useless moddifications to fool us, to belive that they are really working. The truth is they took more money than they expected and dont care about us or finishing the game.

refund and go away then.

wow so many b*tches here obviously paid for a full release I wonder why I still have just early access ?

Damn, had impression that only steam forum is full of this nonsense. Why so much drama? It's just a game. If you enjoyed it for 20+ hours that is quite a lot compared to many other games out there for it's price. Take a brake, return in few month. It doesn't help anyone to endlessly go around conspiracy theories, feeling unheard and etc.

An EA game at that, an unfinished product, a game that is at least a year away from full release... Yet people are *****ing and moaning that stuff is not balanced or not working as intended... Yeah, no sh*t.

Because of trolls dominating this forum and people that never played an early access before expect a completed game. TW really needs to hire a few community managers to gt control of these forums.

Don't worry, there are enough mindless apologists and bootlickers to balance it out.
