The Cost

15-25$ is too much for this game. Its fun, but its way too simple and has graphics that are way to dated for that price.

5$ - 9.99 $ seems more appropiate. Id probably get it for that price but as of now am not for the current.

Even if given prices were more fitting, ones who have already bought the game would feel cheated.

You might think 15-25$ is too much I don't. I would rather pay 15$ for this game rather than most of the other games (of course there are good games out there too).

Honestly I think any price is too much. The game is in beta, and paying to beta test a game is self defeating. The game is supposedly very stable, but it seems like half the people on these forums can't get the game to work right. Its like paying to help test a game in deep beta.

Perhaps the game stability issue is due to a lack of testing on all systems, but since there seems to be no real tech support going on, I haven't even been able to play the game so I certainly wont be buying it. Best I can do is get the game to load with garbled fonts and graphics (even though all drivers and direct x are up to date and im using the latest service pack and have read all the -USER- posts related to these issues). I did get to run around in what I can assume is a training, but since I wasn't able to read character creation or the text with the two npc's that teleport me into arena-style combat, I can only assume that much. I know there appears to be some sort of hud and/or crosshair, but its distorted as well so I basically run around blind. Game defenitely had potential, but I can't see paying anything for a game that doesn't function.

I know alot of people are experiencing simular problems, crashes, and difficulty getting their game registered after they pay the money as well. Seems like these are issues that should be resolved before a price was put on this game. Thats my opinion.

I've never had any problems with the game and when M&B comes out in full version your code will still work so it's not like your paying 12$ just for a beta.

I agree with powerg. This just seems like sort of a way to support the development effort of the game by both funding/playtesting while also reserving your final copy of the game for a lower price (provided that the game actually gets finished).

Yeah, the developers might need to take more time off to really work on the game. They can't do that if they need to go to work to get the money for Spaghettios.

I would pay $50 for this game in beta.

I admit the first few day's i played it , it crashed around once every 5 mins.

If your having problem's , they can be fixed (depending on problem's of course) but it require's that you put some effort into fixing it yourself.

There are only 2 dev's , obviously they can't provide full tech support.

And the graphic's are (honestly) quite great in my opinion. I own hl2 and run it on full setting's , the graphics are stunning in that game , but the shadow system i would have to say is not as good as this game. And the overral graphics nearly match up to HL2.

I have played HL2 for over a year and have been mapping for it for about the same amount of time. The lighting in that game can be an absolute pain in the ass sometime's. Yet the shadow's arn't as good as this game anyway.

So really , Outdated graphic's?
The graphic's are probably the best for any medieval game created so far. So if you don't like them , don't play medieval game's , and more importantly don't play game's at all if you expect realistic graphic's.

Beside's that , graphic's are only 1 factor to a game. The combat system is brilliant. Simple , Easy to use , and effective.

To me gameplay is far mor important then graphic's , take Soldat for example.

By that assessment, EA produce the best games ever, while games such as Warcraft 3 and Civilisation absolutely suck.
If you want good graphics, go buy a tech demo. Personally I prefer something with gameplay, which M&B has in abundance.

I think $12 is an extremely fare price for a medieval game that doesn't suck. I'm planning on buying it when I get some money.

I'll keep it short and simple..

Sicne the game is single player, and they get a free beta, plus the feature of updates, it is basically giving them the game. While online multiplayer's you can actually be punished for not making a payment.
