Npc#35
Madame la Douche, or Paul Auchoñe
Sex: male
Age: 26
Back-story: He was once a Swadians Special Ops elite trooper trained in commercial espionage, his father making the Swadian IRS. His name was Paul Auchoñe; then he had to become a lady for a mission he was given. While walking through the streets he was picked up by a Vaegir guard who thought he was his wife. He then was escorted into the bedroom of the Vaegir guard to talk about cow breeding. Then Madame La Douche pulled out his Morningstar out of his dress and wacked him in the face and the Vaegir guard cursed saying, “CURSE YOU MADAMMMMMEEEE LAAAAA DOUCHEEE!!!” Paul Auchoñe never knew that the Vaegir knew how to speak Old Swadian.  And ever since that mission, the name has remained with Paul Auchoñe, and whenever he would go on secret missions he would dress as a lady to assassinate those who deserve a throwing dagger in their scalp.
Fighting style: He is a spy and soldier, being given special scout skills. He enjoys, in open combat, the blessed Morningstar, yet, in sieges, he prefers siege crossbows and daggers.

Personality: Despite being extremely skilled, Madame La Douche is one unlucky man, or lady. In the tavern you meet him in a peasant dress having just escaped Marinian Mercs. So he has nothing except a club and a nice dress with him.He has wits, the same humor that made him Madame.

Quest idea:He would be happy if you bought back his Morningstar for him, but it turns out things have gotten complicated as the Vaegir Guard obtained the Morningstar but was capturing by revolting Conquistadors and the Marinian mercs.

Recruiting:
MlaD: Aaah. You help me! I'm a fair damsel in distress, no?
PC: Ok, sir, calm down.
WHOA! You are uglyyy.
MlaD: Keep it low key man. See any angry Marinians, or one large Marinian with paint on his armor? Armor that has been in his family since 796, more than 500 years, heh?
PC:Err, no.
You seem like the wrong sort. I best be going.
MlaD: Thank the Void! I took the armor. Well, my employers aren't needing me for a while, and you're helpful, so I'll join off the record for 100 coin!
PC: You seem confident in that low amount of money.
How about I leave ugly ma'am?
MlaD: Well, confidence is my middle name. I work for[ Swadian ruler here], top notch commerical espionage. My real name is Paul, and I had to dress as a lady when infiltrating a Vaegir town. I mean, even the Vaegirs can keep their eyes off an ugly broad! A Vaegir Guard had these papers to order 20,000 Conquistadors into our western borders in Calderia. He thought i was his wife; she is really hideous. He thought brought me into his room, sigh, to talk about cow breeding. I took out my Assassin Morningstar and wacked him in the face, taking his papers. He knew Old Swadian, and has cried, "CURSE YOU MADAMMMMMEEEE LAAAAA DOUCHEEE!!!!" It is my codename. This Marinian Merc business is confidential, I'm afraid. But I happened to leave it on a street, by beloved.
PC: You married?
I can't take two's. Bye!
MlaD: No, no, my beloved Assassin Morningstar. My dad made the IRS, and with the gold he collected he got a tax evader blacksmith to forge it. It'll come back one way or another.
PC: Well, let's go!

His morningstar is called the Assassin Morningstar, and has more thrust damage than normal ones.

I have been working on a samurai character who is unfinished at the moment, I can't say too much about him overall as my ideas contain top secret spoiler info...

but here is some of him, containing a bit of back story:

Ex Samurai Body Guard Now Ronin
Name: Nyaka Turnosata
Egalitarian:
Humanitarian:
Skills: One Hand, TWo Hand Weapons, High Agility, Weapon Master, Power Stirke
Equipment:Samurai style weapons and armour.

#Intro.  This is what the NPC says to the PC when first activated.

("npc17_intro", "You hold yourself like a Lord, might you be in need of a protector?"),

#PC Reply.  This is how the PC responds to the first statement.

("npc17_intro_response_1", "You are correct friend I am indeed a Lord, shall we share a drink and our tales?"),
("npc17_intro_response_2", "You are correct and I do not associate with common bar filth, good day."),

#Back story.  This is an opportunity to describe the character.  Remember the NPC has just met the PC.  They may not want to tell every thing.  You will have other oportunities to reveal darker, secret stuff if you wish.

("npc17_backstory_a", "It would be an honour my Lord. I am Nyaka, former protector of House Inasako, and now I am Ronin, Lordless, Honourless...."),
("npc17_backstory_b", "I served my Lord dilligently, I trained unceasingly so that no foe may best me, I saved my Lord's and his families lives more times than I can count, I did it willingly for it was a great honour."),
("npc17_backstory_c", "Sadly all of this means nothing for all that remains to me is the stain of failure and dishonour. My Lord was betrayed from within, a number of the guard forsook their honour and duty for the coin of a foul rival. I was asleep when i heard the screams, I took my sword in hand and ran to guard my Lord's side, but it was too late, the traitors stood over his lifeless body, fallen in blood with his wife and children. They laughed as they turned to face me...The fools should have fled my wrath. In silence I cut them down, my last act in service to my Lord. When it was done I gathered my things and left my Lord's home to the flame of the torch."),

#Back story Response.  After story, your character might offer a job.

("npc17_backstory_response_1", "A grim tale my friend, but you cannot hold yourself to blame, treachery is a poison that can kill the mightiest of Lords with but the slightest prick."),
("npc17_backstory_response_2", "Hmmm... A Bodyguard whose past employer lies dead, I have no need of a failure. Goodbye."),

#Your now into the sign up phase.  You have just told the NPC you will consider hiring them.  The NPC has two lines to describe skills, thank the PC, perform some blood right...whatever you please.

("npc17_signup", "Your words speak some truth Lord, but though that poison did not kill me it wounds me still."),
("npc17_signup_2", "If you would take me in service my Lord, I would seek to regain some honour in service to a Lord once more, My life I would gladly lay down in trade for yours. Give me this chance to walk in honour again my Lord and my sword and my blood shall be yours."),

("npc16_signup_response_1", "To have a great warrior at their side is the Hope of every Lord, stand with me friend and we shall teach this land the meaning of honour."),
("npc17_signup_response_2", "My Sword and my arm alone are all the protection I require. May you find your peace Ronin, but know that it will not be at my side."),

#Payment.  If your NPC wants initial payment.  You deal with it here.  In Abelli's case she didnt need payment, and was not truly in a position to ask for any.  She is thankful she is hired, and not rocking the boat.  Instead of dialog I have replaced it by {!}  this allows the game to skip it.

("npc17_payment", "Forgive me Lord, but I have incurred some debts while here, room and board do not come free. I had made arrangement to work off the debt working here and providing security against the rougher elements of the citizenry, but if you could clear my debt I would be free to leave with you immediately. It currently stands at 300 coin."),
("npc17_payment_response", "Easily done. Clear your debts, gather your gear and be ready to ride within the hour."),

It's laid out in the current companion speech format, the latter part is unfinished

This is another character I worked on in the past....his dialogue will be most enjoyable to write

Swadian Slave Merchant
Name: Garleon Kenafreed
Egalitarian: Unpaid, hunger, high casualties.
Chaotic: Evil
Skills: Trade, prisoner management. Persuasion and Inventory management.
Equipment:Fine garments and a sword or maybe a knife.

#Intro.  This is what the NPC says to the PC when first activated.

("npc17_intro", "Ah Good sir! Perhaps you wouldn't mind parting with a few coin for a mercantilian gentleman with a slight monetary predicament."),

#PC Reply.  This is how the PC responds to the first statement.

("npc17_intro_response_1", "Hmmm, your adornment and ample erm...girth would seem to suggest your predicament is not so vexing."),
("npc17_intro_response_2", "If you are so hard pressed for funds sell one of those jewels on your fingers, good day."),

#Back story.  This is an opportunity to describe the character.  Remember the NPC has just met the PC.  They may not want to tell every thing.  You will have other oportunities to reveal darker, secret stuff if you wish.

("npc17_backstory_a", "Ah indeed sir, looks can be decieving, why just last night I found myself without the funds for pork...Bread and cheese had to suffice..I mean really that is no life for a man!"),
("npc17_backstory_b", "You see sir, I am but a humble trader in live stock, in my last journey my caravan had to pass through a rather..odious jungle and damn it if the whole stock didn't catch a pox! By the time I arrived here the whole lot were dead or as good as worthless on the market, no one is interested in feeble, diseased stock, so what was left I had destroyed."),
("npc17_backstory_c", "Then to make matters worse I was forced to spend the lions share of my emergency funds on quacks and cutters! Selling me all manner of unguents, ointments and foul tasting potions to ensure I myself was not vexed with the very same pox!"),

#Back story Response.  After story, your character might offer a job.

("npc17_backstory_response_1", "Hmmm... A man with trade skill is always of some use, would you be interested in accompanying me and my warband?"),
("npc17_backstory_response_2", "Hmmm... A penniless merchant who may soon reek with pox is not someone I care to socialise with. Goodbye."),

#Your now into the sign up phase.  You have just told the NPC you will consider hiring them.  The NPC has two lines to describe skills, thank the PC, perform some blood right...whatever you please.

("npc17_signup", "Hmmm.. A Warband you say? Well I have never been one to relish a fight, but ah now! In the battle of the haggle I wield my weapons with a consumate grace and leave my foes bested and scratching their befuddled heads at their empty purse. Haha!"),
("npc17_signup_2", "As I say I am a Warrior of Legend in the cut and thrust world of the market, and of course I am sure a Warband as fine as your's has it's fair share of captives, I know all the places to get the very best prices from such stock!"),

("npc16_signup_response_1", "Excellent! A warband requires pay and I hope that you are the man to help me raise it!"),
("npc17_signup_response_2", "Your livestock were human! You're a slaver! No...On second thoughts I have no need for mercantile skills such as yours. Good day."),

#Payment.  If your NPC wants initial payment.  You deal with it here.  In Abelli's case she didnt need payment, and was not truly in a position to ask for any.  She is thankful she is hired, and not rocking the boat.  Instead of dialog I have replaced it by {!}  this allows the game to skip it.

("npc17_payment", "Yes, Yes of course! I see a most mutually fruitful enterprise awaits in this positively providential partnership! Although as I mentioned I am truly famished... Could you see your way to providing me with say 300 coin to allow me the boon of a decent meal? We shall of course make it all back and more!."),
("npc17_payment_response", "Very well, I can see it takes a great deal of effort to keep your body in such....shape. However I will hold you to these claims of bringing riches to me and my company."),

#Morality.  Your character will get angry, or pleased with certain actions.  Pick two and write how your NPC would talk with the PC.  Here you can use the variable {s21} to refer to the problem.

("npc17_morality_speech", "{Playername}, I simply cannot abide such grumbling from my tummy, it is truly unconscionable for a man such as myself to go without for such a length of time!"),
("npc17_2ary_morality_speech", "{Playername}, I really must protest at your recent behaviour, though some may view these deeds with a misguided sense of 'nobility of spirit' or some such drivel and view it as evidence of some glorious character trait, I (Sir/Madam) am under no such illusion, this is simply wasteful, tiresome and no way to conduct a profitable enterprise! I mean really soon you shall want to throw robes upon your captives and throw them dainty little tea parties! Where will this madness end? hmm!"),

#Personality Clash.  Your character will have problems with 2 other characters.  Substitute their names with {s11} and describe why your NPC does not like them.  This can be left out if you wish, because you dont know what kind of NPCs there will be.

("npc17_personalityclash_speech", "(Sir/Madam) That (Noble Type) is truly becoming tiresome! Why recently he/she launched into a withering tirade against me after he/she saw me strike one of the captives for demanding more water! I mean are they under the mistaken impression that we run a travelling tavern and these are our guests and I am the rotund and jovial innkeep here to regale them with witty and saucy tales and ensure their cups are ever overflowing with the sweet golden nectar of ale! Proposterous!"),
("npc17_personalityclash_speech_b", "Deal with them or I sense a proclivity toward violent action in my destiny!"),

("npc17_personalityclash2_speech", "(Sir/Madam), I simply cannot tolerate the inane prattle of {Noble Warrior} any longer. I mean really if I wanted to listen to such pointless, proposterous, proselytising about, chivalry, honour, the virtues of nobility, equality and love for the common man I never would have left that wretched Kingdom of Swadia with it's Hardy-dardy, prancy-preeny knights of Amhelite! You should not enslave your fellow man, you should not trade your fellow man for profit for this is a greater sin than usury! Ugh! I grow vexed merely repeating such sanctimonious garbage!"),
("npc17_personalityclash2_speech_b", "I simply must insist that we dispose of him...making a handsome profit in the doing mind..and find an inner circle more suited to the rigours of profitable enterprise!",

#Personality Match.  Your character will have a friend.  What kind of friend would they want, what would they say?  You get two lines with this one.

("npc17_personalitymatch_speech", "I must say that {Raetoon} was a canny acquirement on your part. I mean good lord I would never want to eat a meal with the man, he's bloody vile! But his skill in besting his opponents without running them through or spilling their gizzards is truly inspirational! Bravo!",
("npc17_personalitymatch_speech_b", "A man of his considerable talent would have been most beneficial in my previous enterprise!"),

#Retirement Speech.  When your NPC dosent get along with the PC they leave, when they do they give a brief speech.

("npc17_retirement_speech", "{Playername), I cannot tolerate this company anymore! I am tired, I am hungry, I have been repeatedly shot at which I find not at all to my liking! Quite frankly your desire to turn a profit is severely lacking! Clearly it was a mistake to join a Warband, it truly is a most uncivilised affair!"),

#Rehire speech.  After some time passes the NPC respawns in radom tavern to be rehired.  If the PC talks to them again they have a special dialog.

("npc17_rehire_speech", "Ah Good Sir/Lady! Do you hear that? It is most clearly the sound of providence returning us to a truly destined partnership! You see it would seem that Panovosa has become quite the land of uncivility, I mean really I had just prepared a new caravan with my meager gains as an adventurer, I had managed to acquire a substantial amount of silks at a bargain price! Fool didn't even know what he had! Ha! Alas on this most arduous of journies we were set upon by bandits! Bandits! The goons I hired as supposed guards ran at the firt sign of trouble, I mean truly pathetic! Not like your fine band of sturdy cohorts! Perhaps...I was a shade hasty in my decision to part your company and we could once again renew our enterprise and find ourselves again swimming in a lake of luxurious liquidity hmm?"),

#Home speech.  The NPC has a trigger tied to a location.  When the NPC is near it, it starts a dialog.  Usually it talks about home.  You could however, use it to talk about a hated rival who lives in a town, or a former lover, or a tasty yogurt shop...or something.  Here I use it to humanize the character, and hint at her unspoken thoughts.
HERE
("npc17_home_intro", "Oh Joy of joys we arrive at the Swadian colonial effort! Hazaar! I say Hazaar!"),
("npc17_home_description", "Ugh! no, no it is simply no use I cannot keep up such a malodorous pretense! I mean really do we have to trouble ourselves with sanctimonious puffers! You do know I had good reason to leave behind this tiresome culture the moment I arrived on Panovosa! They really are a boring lot! Oh and so self righteous! 'Be good unto your fellow man, press not hard with the yoke upon his shoulders, seek not of profit through exploitation' aaargh! Such Monotonous, droning, drivel!"),
("npc17_home_description_2", "What's more! What's more I tell you, and believe me this is truly unrepentable!, they have utterly no sense of fine cuisine, those oooh so penitent knights belief in denying the flesh that they may better cleanse themselves and live a life of righteousness. Bland, boring and abysmal is what I call it! You wish to know heaven? hmm do you? Well I shall tell you of heaven! Heaven is a roast suckling pig stuffed with diced quail and orange, with a mature cheese melted over the top and rapped in bacon! Mmmm, oh my, my do look at the time lunch already! Well excuse me sir I have important aaah... rites to perform!"),

#Home recap.  From the party screen you can ask a question of your party member of  their past.  They briefly summarize their intro.

("npc17_home_recap", ""My name is Garleon Kenafreed, Masterful Merchant and Supremus in the Arts of Negotiation, I hail from Swadia, but don't hold that against me ay!"),

#Honorific.  A title the NPC uses to refer to you as. These are things like, “Boss”, “Kid”, and the famous “Laddie...I mean captain”.

  ("npc16_honorific", "Good Sir/Madam"),
#King Support.  Your NPC can be asked by the PC if they would support them as a king or queen.

("npc17_kingsupport_1", "Why my friend when I first laid eyes upon you I said to myself 'Garleon this here is a man of destiny!' Now look how right I am, my with you at the head of this kingdom and my hand upon the tiller to guide you through the tumultous, tempestous oceans of the mercantilian arts why we are sure to make mountains of marvelous, money! Haha!"),
("npc17_kingsupport_2", "Why with your leave I shall travel these lands and restore my long neglected commercial connections, I can have caravans from here to the shores of every sea carrying goods in your name and for the benefit of your purse, I will have merchants begging for your favour, for the table scraps of your lordly enterprises."),

("npc17_kingsupport_2a", "Lordly enterprises and begging merchants...This I like the sound of."), #Abelli
("npc17_kingsupport_2b", "Do cease your endless bellowing you pompous wind bag, you have barely made me a coin! What makes you think I will let you swan off to eat your way through this continent!"),

#King support objection.  Your NPC will object to a cetain idea, that is proposed by another NPC for some reason.  You wont know what the idea is, or who the NPC who proposed was.  You can still write dialog for the situation.  Abelli would be complaining about “Droit de seigneur ”(look it up) or something.

("npc17_kingsupport_objection", "My friend you really cannot found a profitable enterprise when you insist upon dolling out the kingdoms coin to every sob story and bleeding heart peasant! If they do not have the wherewithal to make their money meet their needs then damn them! Damn them I say! Let them wallow around in the dust and let more capable men handle living a life of luscious, luxuriousness!"),#Abelli
#Spy mission.  You can send your NPC on a mission to a certain location to find intel.

("npc17_intel_mission", "Dear {Playername}, I could not help but overhear your desire to learn more about  {s18}, Allow me a brief sojourn from your company and by greasing the right palms with a certain golden lubricant I shall obtain for you all the information you desire."),

#Fief acceptance. When you give your NPC a fief, they have an acceptance speech.

("npc17_fief_acceptance", "Oh my dear friend you would have me administrate over {s17}, but of course it would be my honour! My, my, Lord Kenafreed it certainly has a charming ring to it don't you agree? I shall have it producing the finest wares in all the land and of course I shall be most diligent in the accumaltion of taxes for you! Now...What cuisine should a Lord dine on upon first arrival in his newest holding hmm...This lordly life is most taxing indeed."),

#Woman to woman.  This is a special dialog that happens if the PC is female has a good renown level and is not a land owner.  Its a “Go get 'em girl. Dont let the Man keep you down.” kind of speech. If your character is male substitue the dialog with {!}.

  ("npc17_woman_to_woman", "{!}."),

#Turn Against.  If your NPC is given a fief, later rebels, and then comes against the PC in combat, they get the speech.

("npc17_turn_against", "Alas {Playername}, I fear I have found a more profitable parternership than that which we previously shared...No hard feelings ay? Just business!"),

of course you may good sir, although i have noticed a few typos which i shall go through again and fix for you. You have him somewhere in your pms way back when  but I thought i would share it here as their are now a lot of people putting stuff up. The ideas that I have for the samurai character will put him right in the thick of the story, but I need to discuss all that with MB shhhhhh spoiler alerts!!!!

Obviously all the dialogues will grow with quests and such as the overall story of panovosa developments but for now i have just stuck with the 'basic' character profiles of the current game format, but i think these are nice as they give you just enough room to begin to make a 'real' idea of a person, their attitude and history from which can grow an entire intertwined character that will thread his way through the game story as a whole

Sweet, sorry about my PMs, there always filled with good information, it's just that messages get easily lost in my PMs without a search function. It's sort of like Dexter's Laboratory where he has the new lab and way in the back the old lab.

yeah no problem it was a lon time ok now....

I have been ill and not keeping up with the forums, but as I saw some people writing some character ideas that I had been working on i thought I would stick them here so people can have a look  so the world can resound with the clashing of quills!

I am also intending to go on another voicing bender now that I have Logic up and running on my mac, but I am still waiting for my body to regain it's strength!

Edit: Ok I think I have now fixed garleons typoes so that whole thing is ready to slot straight into the standard dialogue template  HAZAAR!!

Alright, here's my basic idea:

#npc19 = Republic of Marina inspired

Name: Angela(name is not important, t
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Fighting style: Fast horse, knife, clothes; no special armour.
Personality: Diplomatic?
Backstory: Born in the Republic of Marina, she was always good at getting what she wanted. When she wasn't getting gifts from men trying to woo her, she was skipping lines and conning bandits. Eventually, the government picked up on this, and convinced her to become a diplomat. Once they realized how effective a diplomat she was and how much she loved it, they sent her on very dicey diplomatic missions, and when she came back with a negative report, they cut her pay.
Unfortunately, the people weren't in on the scheme, and quickly voted Angela out. Now she's looking for a place to work, feeling that her life is now severely lacking a purpose.

I'm working on the longer one, with all the dialogue, so if you think this  is a good idea, let me know..

Truthfully, I think you need more than 16 but this is a lot of typing :p
I hope this is what you were looking/hoping for
#19 = Marinian Inspired

Marinian Former Diplomat
Name: Freina
Issues: High casualties, payment
Skills: High persuasion, Athletics, Riding
Equipment:Fine garments and a nice knife.

#Intro.  This is what the NPC says to the PC when first activated.

("npc19_intro", "You wouldn't happen to be {Playername}, would you?"),

#PC Reply.  This is how the PC responds to the first statement.

("npc19_intro_response_1", "Why yes, I would. Why do you ask?"),
("npc19_intro_response_2", "Step away from me, stranger, and keep your distance."),

#Back story.  This is an opportunity to describe the character.  Remember the NPC has just met the PC.  They may not want to tell every thing.  You will have other oportunities to reveal darker, secret stuff if you wish.

("npc19_backstory_a", "Well, I'm looking for a leader of men. I've heard through the grapevine and rosebush and all sorts of other shrubbery that you are an impressive one."),
("npc19_backstory_b", "You see, I used to be a diplomat in the Republic of Marina. In fact, I was one of their best diplomats, and once they picked up on that, I was sent to deal with the most dicey and pressing issues with the other powers, especially with Aden. There were a number of wars, and I was voted out of my position."),
("npc19_backstory_c", "I like to believe that they don't know what they've missed out on. But enough rambling about me, what about yourself?"),

#Back story Response.  After story, your character might offer a job.

("npc19_backstory_response_1", "Oh, we will have plenty of time to talk about me once you join my company!"),
("npc19_backstory_response_2", "Such a shame, that. As much as I'd love to share, I have things to do. Men to lead, as you said."),

#Your now into the sign up phase.  You have just told the NPC you will consider hiring them.  The NPC has two lines to describe skills, thank the PC, perform some blood right...whatever you please.

("npc19_signup", "Yes, I would love to handle your diplomatic relations! Of course, I can also fight, though those skills of mine are not nearly as impressive. I do hope there's no rite involving spilling my blood, is there?"),
("npc19_signup_2", "A kind invitation, that, and I'd be delighted to accept! I prefer to handle diplomacy, but I do alright with my knife. I hope there's no sacrificial ceremony?"),

("npc16_signup_response_1", "No, no, nothing like that."),
("npc19_signup_response_2", "Actually, you'll have to cut off your nose. I'm sorry, but it's a rule. No nose, or no warband. * Angela shakes her head and grabs her nose in horror *"),

#Payment.  If your NPC wants initial payment.  You deal with it here.  In Abelli's case she didnt need payment, and was not truly in a position to ask for any.  She is thankful she is hired, and not rocking the boat.  Instead of dialog I have replaced it by {!}  this allows the game to skip it.

("npc19_payment", "Then there's only one more issue; I've friends and family here and can't just leave them. Perhaps I could throw a small banquet to celebrate my job? It'd only cost around 1500, and it''ll be over before you know it."),
("npc19_payment_response", "Of course, I can't expect you to leave your family without a proper goodbye."),

#Morality.  Your character will get angry, or pleased with certain actions.  Pick two and write how your NPC would talk with the PC.  Here you can use the variable {s21} to refer to the problem.

("npc19_morality_speech", "{Playername}, I'm sure there's a way to work this out with less loss of lives; more than a few of those deaths were my friends who died protecting me."),
("npc19_2ary_morality_speech", "{Playername}, I find it most important to pay people. Without pay, they grumble, and make life most unpleasant. Not to mention, it's a risky business when you don't get paid one week and die the next; these men give you their loyalty, and you should treat them well for it. We're not brigands, after all."),

#Personality Clash.  Your character will have problems with 2 other characters.  Substitute their names with {s11} and describe why your NPC does not like them.  This can be left out if you wish, because you dont know what kind of NPCs there will be.

("npc19_personalityclash_speech", "The antics of Glordan are simply appalling, and the way he attempts to do all the things those younger than him are doing reflects the hotheaded temper of those Adenians! It makes me sick inside, remembering how I've had to deal with people like him. I simply can't handle it."),
("npc19_personalityclash_speech_b", "I hate to sound jealous, but Glordan manages to steal my spotlight; a man among a plethora of other men, stealing my jokes and gaining the attention of men better than myself! I hate to sound self obsessed, but it's unnerving. I can't handle it much longer."),

("npc19_personalityclash2_speech", "Cutthroat Boris is a man I simply cannot tolerate. Though I understand he’s been through quite a harsh life, that neither legitimizes the crudeness of his speech nor of his actions. He’s the sort of scoundrel that makes my job difficult; I already had to deal with threats from the outside. The last thing I needed were self-righteous brigands harming the people."),
("npc19_personalityclash2_speech_b", "Cutthroat Boris is much too crude for me. I would say you have to choose between me and him, but the fact that you’ve kept him for this long causes me to doubt your abilities as a leader and your judgement in companions. I’ll not have my honour tarnished by a few of your men whom you can’t seem to keep under control.",

#Personality Match.  Your character will have a friend.  What kind of friend would they want, what would they say?  You get two lines with this one.

("npc19_personalitymatch_speech", "Gehrin is simply a marvelous person - were I a bit younger or he a bit older, I would spend nights wishing he would court me. He has thought out responses, and is trustworthy. He’s a good man. I hope you keep that one.",
("npc19_personalitymatch_speech_b", "That Gehrin is a sharp one. He speaks well, but not too much. He would make a wonderful diplomat, but he seems to know what he is doing and what he wants to do, and he’s loyal. With good morals, too. I doubt there’s a maiden in the land worthy of him."),

#Retirement Speech.  When your NPC dosent get along with the PC they leave, when they do they give a brief speech.

("npc19_retirement_speech", "We’ve had good times and bad, but I think it’s time for me to move on in life. Perhaps I’ll see you around the land. I think I will attempt to run for a new position as a diplomat. It is a profession that involves much fewer ruffians, if you’ll take no offense."),

#Rehire speech.  After some time passes the NPC respawns in radom tavern to be rehired.  If the PC talks to them again they have a special dialog.

("npc19_rehire_speech", "Oh, quite a piece of work this is! I was rehired, but they attempted to take advantage of my skills yet again! This time I had the foresight to quit! I wish to rejoin your company, if you’ll have me. I quite miss the taste of food on the road, the smell of blood in the air, and the air of protection."),

HERE
("npc19_home_intro", "Ah, yes, back in the heart of the great Republic."),
("npc19_home_description", "Oh, I’ve had my bad times here, that’s true, but really, you can’t escape the bad. See that knoll over there? That’s where I managed to talk a bandit who was trying to rob me into giving me HIS money. Oh, that was quite a day. And I used to climb that tree when I was a girl, though ‘tis but a stump now. And look, over yonder, on that wall is where my first courter met me."),
("npc19_home_description_2", "Oh, what a land full of memories. But I’ll make all the more, and continue to gain the most out of this ephemeral life we’re all presented with. Though I wouldn’t mind showing you a site or two more; if you look to your left you can see..."),

#Home recap.  From the party screen you can ask a question of your party member of  their past.  They briefly summarize their intro.

("npc19_home_recap", ""My name is Angela. I used to be a diplomat for the Republic of Marina. Shall we move on? I know we have more pressing matters than my life story."),

#Honorific.  A title the NPC uses to refer to you as. These are things like, “Boss”, “Kid”, and the famous “Laddie...I mean captain”.

  ("npc16_honorific", "Esteemed leader"),
#King Support.  Your NPC can be asked by the PC if they would support them as a king or queen.

("npc19_kingsupport_1", "If you want to be king, you're certainly starting well - people will resist your kingship more the less they've heard that you"),
("npc19_kingsupport_2", "Fortunately for you, I happen to know a good number of people who are good at starting rumors. I’ll go and meet a few of them, and your career as king will be off and running in an instant! Oh, and do hold elections; though you are a great leader, it’s always good to hear the voices and ideas of others.")

("npc19_kingsupport_2a", "King? The commoners ought to have no say, eh? Just you and your crown and their coin. There shan’t be a king."), #Abelli
("npc19_kingsupport_2b", "Oh, isn’t that nice. You wish to be king. Go to the Republic and get elected to something. Kings and their supporters ought to go to Calradia. So go on, back to your homeland. Be king there."),

("npc19_kingsupport_objection", "If you’ll accept my rejection, no, I’d rather not support you as leader of a country. It’s nothing personal, just for the common good. You’ve made a good number of bad decisions, and when a ruler does that, the people pay."),#Abelli
#Spy mission.  You can send your NPC on a mission to a certain location to find intel.

("npc19_intel_mission", "Dear {Playername}, I could not help but overhear your desire to learn more about  {s18}. Perhaps my golden lips will loosen a few others."),

#Fief acceptance. When you give your NPC a fief, they have an acceptance speech.

("npc19_fief_acceptance", "I’d be a fool not to accept {s17}, wouldn’t I? This trust was not wrongly placed, I assure you. Well placed, it is. Well placed."),

#Woman to woman.  This is a special dialog that happens if the PC is female has a good renown level and is not a land owner.  Its a “Go get 'em girl. Dont let the Man keep you down.” kind of speech. If your character is male substitue the dialog with {!}.

("npc19_woman_to_woman", "We’re moving to a new age, the age of the woman. I don’t think we ought to enslave the men or anything along those lines, but we both fought hard for where we are. We deserve to celebrate and make the road more equally difficult for all."),

#Turn Against.  If your NPC is given a fief, later rebels, and then comes against the PC in combat, they get the speech.

("npc19_turn_against", "Aye, good to see you again. I hope we can sort this out over a good drink, can’t we not? Perhaps at a time when we aren’t bound to take each others’ heads off. Ready yourself, for I’ll be a tough one. A good test of your skill, if you will."),
