Fortunately, I tried it on after the adjustments at the store, and the hemming was overdone by the tiniest measure, but hey. Anyway, it fit me like a glove and feels extremely comfortable. I like wearing suits. Makes me feel important.

Some five hundred dollars (t'was a bit more, actually, but nothing some talking can't do). Good price for a suit this quality in here. Sides, it should last me many years, as I'm not growing anymore.

Really? High-end stores around here do the tailoring for you free of charge. And, come to think of it, tend to have lifetime warranty on their products.

It also does depend on how and where you shop. There are lots of places and brands that overcharge, and bargain hunting can really pay off. My current suit ran me only around $200 (plus a little for tailoring, which had to be done elsewhere) because I purchased it at an outlet store, applied two coupons, and argued for an extra discount at the store. The same suit at retail could have easily been twice that, and many less appealing suits made by certain brands could easily be more still.
