Whatever. I just sign me in, Bounty Hunter Weren reporting to duty.  :smile:
I think there should be atleast 2 targets at a time, one for EU and one for US.
 
we are allowed to put up our own bounties?  I supose we have to get the ball rolling :grin:

im up for a bit of a challenge-  I'm putting a bounty on both MadJackMcMad and olo  (I think olo is US and madjack is EU)-  both very good fighters, we are going to have to bring them down in melee too, since its blunt takedowns. :grin:    I have a feeling they are going to be long-term contracts XD

I put them up on the "wanted board". I do think we should definitely have more than one bounty up at a time. I think there should be a max though. Maybe 6 max?

Exactly, that's the first part of bounty hunting  :mrgreen:

I'm sure if you play enough, you'll come across them online and have opportunities though.
 
Bounty hunter mod eh?  is this anything to do with the hunter mod?

ok- this is an ambitous idea but...

set solely in village/town maps-  populate the map with villagers who are neutral to the action, but flee from combat-  guards who will attack anyone if they are seen to fight (will be a ***** to code). 
played with a small number of players and no definate sides-    the teams will be 3:1 ratio in favor of the bounty hunters

The wanted team can work together if they wish to survive, but often it is best to split up to evade detection. they are much weaker than bounty hunters, armed with crappy weapons and weak armour-  allthough if they take an unaware hunter by surprise they can land a kill (and steal their weapons :grin:)

the bounty hunters- whilst on a team they are actualy competing for the kills, they can kill each other to remove competition (but dont score points from that),  their only goal is to kill the wanted players- earning large amounts of gold for each kill.
well equiped with a wide veriety of equipment.

EDIT:  how about something a little similar to The Ship (if I recall correctly) and a little more do-able
its a deathmatch mode basicaly,  large numbers of players in town-like levels.

each player is given a target to kill - only they know who that target is.  but allso every player has someone after them
you gain a point if you kill your target (that target then changes),  you lose a point if you kill someone who isnt your target-  but, you dont lose points for killing the person who is after you.
what you get is a paranoid game,  going after your target without letting them know you are after them,  but allso constantly checking your back looking for your nemesis.

equipment will have to be carefully selected and maps will need to be well laid out.  I suggest everyone wears civilian clothes and are armed with knives (that instakill) and hand crossbows (that are hard to see, so its hard to see if someone is aiming at you)

Well, that's not what I meant, but it sounds awesome. I'm actually working on a SP mod that will expand the fugitive hunting quest a lot as well as expand the manhunters faction (and perhaps bandits as well).

I like the set up for the bounty hunter mode you described, but I don't know about the guards and townsmen/villagers. I think that there should just be normal pedestrians walking around without any guards (noncriminal guards would not try to stop a bounty hunter anyway). However, I think that both the bounty hunters as well as the bounties should have equipment options that let them blend into the crowd or armor up and stand out.

Today on the duel server I had the biggest laugh ever in the history of warband. There was a guy called McJack or something and then ares goes to duel him and asks casually "You wouldn't happen to be that MadJackMcMad guy would you?"  :lol:

lol. It was worth a try  :mrgreen:

And that was some fun dueling. I have not dueled like that in ages. US needs a duel server like that.
