Bounty Hunters Guild

Welcome to thee my fellow Mount and Bladers. Welcome to the Bounty Hunter's Guild!

This is not a clan. It is not competitive. Rather this is a Guild for those bounty hunters in Warband to gather and discuss. I would welcome anyone who would like to be a bounty hunter to join. I will be making a small code of conduct just to make sure we have a decent reputation. It doesn't matter to me whether you are in a clan or not. Verily, I personally am a Hoboknight as well as the director of Calradia Academy of Arms, so that is definitely not an issue.


Bounty Hunting Contest and points: This is similar to the "Killed on Sight" topic, but instead of killing, the bounty hunter must knock the bounty out. I other words, thou must use a blunt attack. The first person to knock the bounty out and take a screen shot of it (and post it here) wins. It is possible to kill the bounty, but if another bounty hunter successfully knocks the bounty out,  he wins over the kill. If enough people join and participate in the contests, there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. There will also be two separate awards for the silliest and most epic KO. A bounty hunter may only win one of these awards at a time. The awards will probably be awarded based on a discussion and poll. If you have multiple KO's on the bounty, you may only submit one, so if you KO the bounty and post the screenshot first, then that is your submission for the awards. There is, however, an exception: if the first submission was a kill, then the bounty hunter in question may replace his original submission with a KO. Placing in a contest and receiving an award will add points to your personal bounty score based on the following scheme:

1st place: 15
2nd place: 10
3rd place: 5
silly KO award: 10
epic KO award: 10
bonus points awarded by an authority for various reasons: up to 5 points

Reward: 10 pounds of delicious HOBOCHEESE (provided by scipio)
Additional Information: Basu is wanted for team killing Scipio. He is known to be a member of the nK clan and is particularly competitive and vocal. He is notorious for accusing others of being scrubs. The real question, however, is whether he himself is a scrub...
Deadline: January 9

Additional Information: olo is a US player with a remarkable tendency to use lowercase letters in his typing. He is also infamous for referring to himself in the third person and using 2-handed weapons.

Additional Information: MadJack or MadJackMcMad is a formidable EU player. (any more information?)

Reward: typical contest reward plus HOBOCABBAGE (given by viwerty)
Additional Information: In the words of viwerty (who has put forth the bounty), "That bastard HoboBaronet_Yanara She's been a thorn in my for foot for a long time."
Deadline: Undecided

Current Bounty: Jesse the HOBOZERK, wanted alive (KO which must be by unmanned horse)
Reward: typical contest reward plus McQuaid as a body shield for one game (in his words: "The first person to provide a screenshot of such event will receive the bounty of points and me as a human shield for one game (this will happen by both of us being in game and the collector requesting my body).")
Additional Information: Jess is a Hobozerking Hobo known as the HOBOZERK. He is known to frequent US servers.
Deadline: Unknown


Sometime we should have an awesome banner. It should be intimidating, dark, and scary, but noble at the same time. Anyone want to try to make one?

Also... any suggestions?

(BTW, I am currently working on a Bounty Hunter mod  maybe it could be the official mod for the Guild [any help or suggestions would be appreciated])

Code of Conduct: (not finished)
1)no ridiculous spamming of forums or chat
2)great measures may be undertaken to collect a bounty, however, you may not break any law, forum rules, or server rules and get caught . But seriously, respect authority and follow rules.
3)when not hunting a bounty, a member of the guild should always be ready to take down a griefer/teamkiller.
4)No member of the Bounty Hunter's Guild should commit the crimes of griefing and teamkilling (unless collecting a bounty )

Outside "Employment"
Bounty Hunters may be "hired" by outside parties to "collect bounties" or other jobs (body guard for example). Based on the performance of the "hired" bounty hunter, the "employer" may give me a score from 1 to 10 which will determine the amount of points given to the bounty hunter's total score (depending on how difficult the "job" was. Note that the total possible points should be determined before the job takes place).

The contest is more or less.

It's more challenging though because of the extra knock-out rule. You can't just hide and shoot at someone (though this may be possible in order to start the knock out procedure.

That's one thing to discuss... favorite load-outs and strategies to get knock-outs

I suggest you have to kill the player in a particular way. For example, kicking them off of a siege tower, or killing them while naked with only a pike. Silly things!

Well, there's already the requirement of knocking out the bounty instead of killing them (in other words use a blunt attack).

Silly KOs do sound fun though. Perhaps there will be a 1st through 3rd place winner for doing it first, and then a special award for the silliest knockout as well.

I know what we're named It's the original name but after Zendar was destroyed we turned from hunters to assassins but kept the original name

If you don't know who technoviking is then let me educate you. He is the god of awesomeness so much so that he is the only one who can kick Chuck Norrises ass. Sign me up!  Im part of CoR-  but im sure they wont mind me doing a bit of bountyhunting on the side

Ideas:

you should have all the bountyhunters names up on OP -  with the number of captives they have taken down next to it, so we can get some healthy competition going

also- you could award us points for each capture,  like having bonus points for a knockout, bonus points for an impressive/funny takedown (or if we are fighting some elite player like madjack) or just any bonus points you think the player deserves for his efforts--  and have the points as a sort of bountyhunter rating alongiside their name

hmm-  could us bountyhunters allso accept special requests?  like if someone had a bounty on their head from another contractor- we could act as a bodyguard

If you kill him when I'm close by, I'll take the screenshot and "haul the body in" 

(But a little competition is fine and will make things more fun  )

Hmmm, maybe the target of the "Kill on Sight" thread can "hire" us to help protect against the assassins or maybe even to collect a bounty on a particular assassin . I'm not sure exactly what kind of reward there would be points-wise; perhaps the "employer" could recommend to me a certain amount of points be added based on the bounty hunter's performance.
