The Arrows On Sieges Newbie Question That I Always Had In Mind

Hello!

So, let's say I have a bow and a large bag of Khergit Arrows (+3). I am attacking the Nords, Vaegirs or Sarranids on a siege (archers).

I tell my Knights to hold position, hide behind them and start shooting on the archers.

When I have about 10 arrows left, I begin to pick Normal Arrows (+1) on the ground.


How will the game handle if it's for me to deal +3 or +1 damage? Or the difference is too little anyway compared to the Bow/Power Draw?

I do not know for certain, but I have never seen a difference when I pick up arrows. I suspect they are all converted to Khergit arrows. Conversely if you pick up Khergit arrows and had regular they are converted to regular.

In native difference is not big, but in some mode I have played there is a huge difference and no matter how crappy the arrows are I pick up my bow stays as deadly.

Yup, they do convert into kherghit arrows even if you pick full quiver from, say, dead forest bandit (100% positive here). They probably do this as long as you have kherghit arrows' quiver - if you dropped it and picked normal arrows' quiver they'd stop to convert into kherghit arrows.

It may seem a little trivial but actually it has some significant impact on my siege's strategy. That way, I know that I do not need to wait until my arrow stock reaches 0 to pick up arrows on the ground.

While defending town or castle, I used to keep few nord archers  amongs my sharpies as an arrows stock. They ain't always dying in the proper time themselfs, unfortunately.

It's for the greater good!

I like to get a big polearm and just hit everyone that tries to come in from a relatively safe distance, but probably if given a second choice I would do that too

You guys should test by picking up some random arrows off the ground and shoot at the floor.

I feel so stupid for not having this idea before...

Yes it is confirmed, if you pick Normal Arrows on the ground, they are converted to Khergit Arrows (or whatever you have in your original gear)
