The Apprentice Guild
These rules apply to all posts in the Apprentice Guild section. These are in addition to the universal board rules, which can be found here. Please make sure you are familiar with all board rules before posting.
Welcome to the Taleworld's Apprentice Guild. This board is for posting any questions you have about playing Mount & Blade. You will notice this board is split into two sections:
The Apprentice Guild (main board) is where you may post questions regarding gameplay
The Library - Normal members may not post in this board. You will find all documentation regarding the game, plus strategy guides and general useful M&B information here.
Board Specific Rules
Absolutely No Flaming There is a zero tolerance policy towards flaming here. No matter how stupid you think a question is or how many times it has been asked before, if you're not going to answer it then don't reply. Breaking this rule is highly likely to land you with a ban
Locked Board Please note the Library is designed to act as an archive, so normal members are unable to post into it. If you wish to discuss anything in the library, then feel free to create a topic in the relevant board (or look for an existing thread covering the topic)
Posting Guidelines - please read before posting
Use the Search If you have a question about an aspect of Mount & Blade, the likelihood is someone has asked it before. Rather than posting and waiting till someone decides to answer it, you'll find your answer quicker by searching. Click on the search button, type in your question into the search for field (or a description of what your searching for, e.g. Reloading Crossbows) and leave the by poster field as *. Uncheck the check all box, then click "choose a board to search in". Check the box next to The Library. If you have no luck with that search, you might want to search the Apprentice Guild board too by checking the box next to it.
Gameplay Questions only This board is intended purely for gameplay questions related to the unmodded version of Mount & Blade. If you want to know how to join a faction, how to use a bow or similar questions this is the board for it. Questions about the forum or Taleworlds should be posted in the Website and Community board. Questions regarding technical or serial key issues belong in The Apothecary. If your question is not something which has a definitive answer (such as which weapon is the best or what the best character build is) then it should go in the Zendar Town Square. If your question is related to a mod or modding, then it should be posted in the relevant mod section.
Patience This is a forum, not a chatroom. Your question may be answered immediately, or it may not be addressed for several days. Please don't re-post or bump your question, in all likelihood the reason nobody has replied is that the question is answered in The Library.
Communication Remember, a polite, understandable post is more likely to get a reply. You should also try to make your question as informative and understandable as possible - if people can't understand what your asking, then they can't answer. Try to use punctuation correctly.
Please do not ask when the next version will be released - Nobody, including the developers can predict the exact date - nor would it be in any way beneficial for the game itself, since there would be a rush to release an un-finished product.
