Der König von Preußen, Friedrich Wilhelm III takes tremendous pleasure in presenting the
BRITISH CAMPAIGN MEDAL
to Soldiers serving in the Königlich Preußische Armee for service as set forth in the following citation:
On the evening of Saturday, October twelfth in the year of our lord two-thousand and thirteen, the position of the Königlich Preußische Armee was threatened by a well trained British force. Soldiers of the 1. OstPreußische Infanterie, the 19. Preußische Infanterie, the 13. Preußische Infanterie, the 4. Preußische Landwehr, and the Preußische Pubwehr noticed the threat and immediately and without question organized their forces and jumped into battle to defend the fatherland. This act of valor caught the British forces off guard, and provided the rest of our army time to organize and eventually move up in support of those already in fierce battle. The performance of the Königlich Preußische Armee paved way for a wonderful victory over the British attackers. Had it not been for the actions of the previous listed regiments, our entire military campaign might have been disrupted, and the lives of Prussians everywhere would be threatened. These actions of initiative and displays of superior discipline and military bearing under high levels of stress are in keeping with the highest standards of excellence set forth by the Königlich Preußische Armee
