The $12 for M&B were good value, but now it is time to put the game on the shelves. With no MP once you know the tips and tricks the game is no challenge anymore...

BTW - the infantry will rule in the MP. Now the AI never hits the horses except by mistake, but a human player will kill the horse in the first place. Maybe it is a good idea to lift the HP of the horses - even tenfold. A horse with 600 HP will need a lot of hits to die.

Er, thanks for the announcement and sorry to hear that.

It comes back in binges though, just to warn you.

Make sure you check back when the game is out of the beta stage. I can understand your boredom- but I thought the same awhile ago. Now I'm playing M&B again like my good ol', fanatic self from months ago.

I agree. I think most everyone gets tired of it and needs to take a 'break' from the game.

Then after a few weeks later or so ... you load it up and, new version or not, are immediately back to an addicted level.

Hope to see you soon, Handel ...

Guess you probably won't ever come back then since the game will never be MP.

I cannot believe there can be a developper who will create the basement of such a great game and will ruin everything but not adding such relatively easy to implement but extremely important features as multiplayer.

EDIT: I removed my post, because I realized that it was inappropriate. I apologize and shouldn't have posted it. I still believe what I wrote, but the way that I wrote it was wrong.

For that, I apologize. I've had a really bad day and shouldn't be showing that here on the forums.

Morrowind didnt have MP, nor does Oblivion.
Fallout 1 and 2 didnt have MP.

Most ROGUE type games arnet MP.

So your if want MP RPG, go play WoW and listen to whiney *****es who complain about their character being nerfed or others being buffed while being nerfed. They have mounts and such

Maybe next time you play the game, you can learn how to ride a horse without getting it killed. :cute:

Seriously, I have not had a horse die under me unless I have deliberately jumped off a hill to kill it.

Darn, I'm sorry I missed that post! Good to know moderators are human too.

I kinda share Handel's frustrations with the game - it's just that mp would be so awesome!

Still never mind - maybe in M&B2.

Speaking personally; I find the game lacks credible lasting gameplay. Before you flame on - I know it's a beta, I know it's been put together on a shoestring by the smallest of teams. I know, I know.

But that's the problem - the dev team is too small. Yes there are updates (can't wait for those modding tools ) but nothing seems to be happening on the campaign game front and the world map.

It's a great combat sim - but that's about it at the mo.

how many games have you made then ?..

i've made a few myself and adding multiplayer isn't "easy" . it is a feature that you more or less have to make a decision about early in the process (since it affects the way you design the game).

multiplayer code is simple, multiplayer design is more tricky.

I recall hearing (seeing?) armagan say that he'll hire more people now that they'll have a bigger office.

Now imagine that they're all as good as armagan and ipek.

Now imagine an army of armagan and ipeks, roaming the world, looking for river pirates and later dark knights.

Wow, this got awkward fast. I hope I contributed something.

Guess you didn't try to read what I wrote, or you shouldn't write this noncense. Attack me with your horse and you will lose it before you even could see me. No matter what kind of horse you have.
That's why the dark hunters and the vaegir knights and horsemen are the most easy prey. Just ride around them, kill their horses and pick them up at your leasure. That's why in MP the horses will be practically useless if their hitpoints are not upped seriously.

Absolutely agree. That's why I wrote: "I cannot believe ..." Because if you are smart enough to create such game, you must have the brains to guess the MP for such game is a must.

Morrowind didnt have MP, nor does Oblivion.
Fallout 1 and 2 didnt have MP.

Obviously this is not Oblivion, neither Fallout. It is a combat sim, as someone posted above. This could just be the king of the MP games.

About the cheated heroes - it is common plague, but no one stop playing MP games because of it.

I'm starting to regret editing out my post ... I should have just re-worded it.

Simple and fast question:

Handel ... if Armagan could add MP into the game without taking forever to do it ... why do you think he hasn't?

Armagan is a smart guy and MP would sell this game like a drug.

This game has become their livelihood. He would throw away sales for what reason?

Consider this: The chance that Armagan actually knows more about coding a game than you do, might be higher than what you seem to think. He would add Multi if it were a feasible option at this point, because it would make him that much more money.

Because most MP games are played by 10 year olds or less who aspire to grow up to be an e-thug and have large e-peens (a.k.a pindick in RL).

Honestly MP just brings the worse outta everyone, and if you want a game thats similar to tihs, look no further than Pirates! thats also not MP, but hella fun and I play that as well. You could say thats more of a trade sim, but realistically I dont care if its a sim or not, as long as its fun and enjoyable I dont mind what game it is.

Since you wrote "easy to implement" I am pretty sure you don't know what the **** you're talking about.

I may not have conducted myself correctly with my first post (hence, the reason I edited it out) ... but this thread will not become a flame war.

I disagree with Handel's view, also. Yet if we cannot discuss and debate things like mature people, the thread will be closed.
