Hello!

This is my first post so greetings all!

I want to start off by saying a big thanks to Taleworlds for making the most engaging, complex and down-right fun game I've played since Fallout 3. Leveling my Character, seeing him, my companions and army grow and develop while mercilessly slaughtering thousands of troops has been a blast! I've been waiting for (what i see anyways) as a modified and improved version of the Jedi Outcast combat system of yester-year which, in my opinion, was the greatest ever to grace a video game before and since. So again, thank you, thank you, thank you!

I originally saw the first M&B round a friends last year and seeing the mechanics (and, no offense rather err..."rough") graphics I said to him "Damn is this game old? Why the hell didn't i hear about it?" He explained that it was a new and indie title. "Indie, with full 3D graphics and a highly advanced combat system? Holy crap! Thats got to make it the best indie game ever!" Said I.

Anyways to cut a long story short I played it a little round his then got sucked back into WoW by said friend and forgot all about it, i recently quit and, while browsing my local game store I saw this little beauty for £15! Perfect!

Now to where i am at the moment. I allied myself with the Swadians and became a Vassal of King "Its never a bad time to feast" Harlaus, mainly because I'm British and wanted to live out the "Knight in Shining Armor" fantasy, plus employ tactical nukes...i mean heavy cavalry, in the field.

Well it sure was fun! And now, roughly 340 days later (in game of course) I've taken the map for the glory of our Kingdom! Not to mention opened up a good few businesses and been granted boat load of fifes, netting me a rather handsome 11k a week, after expenses. This will hopefully improve after the ol' King of Lard finally decides to get off his fat arse and grant the last 5 or so castles to whoever (hopefully mostly me, as my men bled for them!)

Now here lies the problem.

(...Here)

What the hell do i do next?

My ultimate plan would be to secure my castles and towns with some almighty big garrisons, befriend as many Lords as possible and then go all "George R.R Martin" on the Feast Kings backside and claim the Kingdom for myself.

Which leads to my ultimate question...

Is this even possible?

Here are my questions, in list form!

How do i go about starting a rebellion, exactly?

If i rebel will i just be facing insurmountable odds? Even with companion Vassals?

Will I be able to remain Swadian? i.e I dont want to start a war and get a -200 morale penalty on my mostly Swadian army.

Will i be able to convince NPC Lords to join me? If so what sort level of "personal rating" (or whatever its called) will i need to get them onside?

Is rebelling (while understandably difficult) worth it? Should i just re-roll and start my own Kingdom from scratch?

If i have to start again is there anyway to import my character into a new game? (even minus equippment, cash, etc)

What Mods (if any) will i need to make my life a little easier/less frustrating?

I shant get into the multiplay questions i have as this would turn the thread into an absolute beast! (if it isnt already! Ha!) Safe to say i suck, prefer SP (for the moment anyways) but will get into it when a find the time to devote 48 hours or so of /played into getting my mad skillz. Not to say that even with my sub-par skillz it isnt fun, i've already laughed until tears run down my face at a few of the MP situations i've been in and I see great complexity and potential in the MP. I think my brain can only handle one thing at a time however!

Thanks for taking the time to read this rather epic ramble, i may come up with some more points if i can think of them or you could list any tips for potential problems i may run into. All help is appreciated!

Yours...

Count Ris'Arch

Ask the lords around about how they like the king, try to convince those that give you a negative answer, or at least remember who they are so you can seek them out as soon as you rebel.

You wont be able to remain Swadian saddly, you will have to keep the swadians units in the garrison and walk around with other faction remains.

Its better to rebel with a couple of holdings and some lord than be a lonely stranger that might attract powers he cant deal with.

It shouldnt be that hard, you got a huge territory to conquer, but you wont have that much enemy lords to attack you, especially if you snatch some from the Swadians first, companions lord might even allow you to even the odds.

Thanks for the reply Bob, your help is much appreciated! I'm sadly away on business at the mo and cant get M&B Warband to run on this ****ty note-book. Oh well, something to look forward to!

Shame about the loss of my precious heavy cav, oh well i'll go for a Nord heavy army for who can deny the coolness of the vikings? Perhaps add a few Vageir Knights, warmasks look BA after all

Would you recommend any mods to use? My friend says diplomacy is really helpfull, particularly when raising relations with lords, gathering peasant recruits etc.

I shall start the epic campaign on my return, maybe even write some kind of AR, like i used to when i played table top warhammer campaigns with my uncle. Soon the Feast King shall be begging for scraps from my table! Resistance is futile!

Wish me luck!

Diplomacy is a must. Loads of mods are compatible with Diplomacy, the Native one included. I started to use Diplomacy myself few weeks ago and it improved the experience considerably
