Thanks for being netbook friendly!

Sergeant at Arms
M&B:WB is one of the few modern games on the market that is fully compatible with netbook gaming -- even in multiplayer. Taleworlds deserves a shoutout for keeping features like full DX7 compatibility while still allowing the people with nice machines to use DX9 and all the bells and whistles. This is not a trivial feat, and it's one that tends to get forgotten in all the talk of gameplay and combat and whatnot. Another major factor is full support for machines with a 600 pixel vertical limit -- aka all netbooks.

So thanks, Taleworlds, for keeping us low budget gamers in mind when crafting your masterpiece. We might not be willing to blow a grand or two on a computer, but we can sure as hell can go for a game every now and again and, more importantly, we tell our friends on their beat up old machines that, yeah, they can get a piece of the awesome sauce we're playing. Keep it up!

Indeed, M&B is the only game I know of to be released within the last couple years that still supports lower-end machines. I know from experience that it feels almost embarrassing to pull a game off a shelf, check the minimum requirements, and have to put it back because your computer isn't up to snuff. I'm one of the few who threw over a thousand bucks into a computer over a period of time, though, but I'll be back in the same predicament again.

Serious props to TaleWorlds for savvy design, if nothing else. It expands their market.

So it is netbook friendly? That's good news, because I wasn't so certain about it. I'll not have to worry when I buy one soon.
