Hello there,

I wanna ask you guys how to use a special texture when a simple file contains a multiple usable ingame.
This is an example :
253494objects.png

I'd like to extract the box_a texture from this file. How can I apply only the planks at the bottom right on my object ?

Thats easy! You UV map the object, and you place the UVs over the planks. This is done in an external program for 3d editing, like blender. If you have questions about how this is done, watch my video series!

It's very confusing. I watched your video but I couldn't find any solutions.
I don't have trouble to put texture on my objects. The problem is to select a texture wich is among a lot of others. Like my picture above.

You said it's a question about UV map? I never used this before. Warband seems to use for their prop called "box_a" the plank whithout much things. For example, the box_a used the material "objects" which refer to the picture above. Any normal or UV map appear in this. They just pick up the right texture into the file (the plank ones).

I'm not sure I'm  right, maybe not, but that's look soo weird  :dead:

Thanks for your answer anyway

Edit: I'm using gimp and 3dsmax + openbrf ofc

I'd say the best way for you to understand what the other guy replied before me means is to export the box from openbrf as obj. Open it up in 3dsmax, and then check out it's uv map. And don't forget to reference the "objects" texture in 3dsmax as well. At this point you should understand what Ramaraunt meant^^
