Texture problem with Wings3d

Howdy,

I've been working on some clan armor models for cRPG/strategus (of which I am fanatic about) but I've come across a bug I haven't been able to solve for the better part of 9 hours

Yesterday I was able to do a test texture .bmp file and import it into wings and see it on my model.  Cool, that's the way it's supposed to work.

Today however when I import image > drag to material > select model > apply to selection from material, the texture no longer shows up on the model.  Any of my models.

I looked in the view > show > textures and materials and they are both checked and turned on, so that can't be it I don't think.

I can't figure this out for the life of me.  I'd really like to see how they're turning out so I can complete these and get to the next stage of trying to decode how to add them to the game so I can view them on a player model.

If anyone else has had this problem, or just knows of how to fix it please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Gorath

Oh wow, the exact same thing is happening to me. I posted about it in the Mod makers Q&A but got no responses yet.

I also tried deleting the defeault material and nothing happens, is that the same with you?

It's really weird because I've textured stuff before on this same version of wings, so I have no idea what could have happened.

Hah, strange. I got something similar, but luckily I already knew how the parts that didn't get their texture would be, but my texture didn't show up on the part I added.

i cant say really what you did wrong but theres can be few reasons of that
1) if you cant see texture at all, on your model that means you deleted matterial of that...
2) if your model sows texture are on strange colors that can be problems that you use holes on your model

how to fix on same wings3d file i really cant say

but it is possbile to back on your work if you export your model in obj and import it in new wings3d file
if this don't work also try import your model in .brf and then export it from here
