Hello

What do you think about adding Churches/ Mosques/ Whatever?
This should work like this, if you make a donation you improve your relationship with the city (Not only with the drunk ones of the Tavern :p)
And, maybe you can join any military order qith certain quests.
What do you think?

A few cities already have churches or churchy buildings, go wander around some back streets.

The idea of a monastic order is pretty interesting. M&B needs more neutral powers like knightly orders or dynastic banking houses.

And, of course, anything that'll get more awesome monumental architecture into the game is fine by me. Whoever is doing the scene design has really done some great work in the last few versions.

Have you ever been in Reindi Castle? It is really AWESOME.

Banking houses is a great idea. How do you think they might work?

One word...

CRUSADE

Come on... wouldn't it be cool to suddenly have the Vaegir (as an example) field HUGE armies of poorly equipped farmers and peasants in a massive Crusade against those infidel Nords?

I agree with that.
It may look like politically incorrect but politically correct things in the Middle ages are not realistic
Come on, don´t you think it would be awesome to be a band of Nords and looting churches around, looking for silver, and then, an army of any military order knights reducing their villages to ashes to avenge that?

Religon needs to play a larger role in this game. During the medieval time, religious leaders were powerful and had great influence over the common man. Crusades and special orders would be a nice addition for the chivalrous and honorful knight who wants to fight against evil.
I also like the ideas of banking houses (Fuggers amd Medici for example). They could store money, items and sometimes offer you some lucrative jobs.

So I take it I'm not the only one still in mourning for the Darklands mod?

OT, Bismarck is one of my favorite political figures. Do you know how much of a duelist-douchebag he was in his college days?

What they believe is evil, you mean.

I would enjoy that sort of thing, like the real crusades.

"Hey!  They don't follow the same religion!  Let's murder them, their women and children, and burn down everything they own!  That is the righteous thing to do!"

I think this game should add this, even if it seems politically incorrect (As i already said)
That made perfect sense during the Middle ages (Even when the true purpose of the crusades was to conquer new lands)
