Now I have been checking this forum over and over to try find a teaser of whats coming and as of yet i've only seen one, sadly not much of a teaser. so I was wandering if anyone of the Dev team could give me a nibble of whats to come?

and as i always say Im very grateful for the wonderul thing that is Prophesy of Pendor.

Here is an actual tease for you, Brother of Blades:

In the Warband port of PoP 3, we have a wonderful new battle track and another absolutely terrific theme for an added group composed by one of the PoP players/forum members, Sir George Pommeroy Colley, both of which are original and exclusive to the PoP Warband port, as per his request.  We also have another lovely piece of music by another player/forum member, Fabled Pilgrim, also exclusive to PoP Warband which replaces one of the other tracks in PoP 3x for V 1.011.

Both composers are really, really good and their music is greatly liked by the Dev Team.  We're sure everyone will enjoy all three and thank both composers very much!  In my opinion, both of the composers are every bit as talented as the composers of the music I ended up paying a bunch of money for!

WOW :O I mean in Native I always turned of my music but When I played PoP the music is actualy quite good and thrliing in battles so carn't wait to hear how the music helps you feel more in the action this time

Its a lot like how fast paced music helps you in racing games  anyway
thanks for the mod and I carnt belive your actualy going into your own wallet For this Mod really amazing to see.

Thank you for the tease as well :)

The selection of music of PoP is awesome and a huge part of the gameplay IMHO.  When you ride down on Eyegrim with the right music for your charge, and he or one of his buddies blasts away your shield with a thrown axe...then you impale him on your lance...it is awesome.

Hmm...he still back there.  Oh, that's my horse falling over from another thrown axe as I turn.  Well, the music track is still great as I await their charge...

I love it when i get that like chargey drumy rythmetic beat when I use slow motion with a Bow on a horse OMG it is the most epic thing on Mount and Blade EVER

Thank all of you for the kind words about the music and ambient sound - I sweated blood over them for nearly 5 months, to get things right.  MadVader just about did himself in scripting so that we could theme the villains like Eyegrim and give an individual character to each of the factions via their town/castle/village/travel/battle music.  My efforts would have been in vain (wrestled with music.py for a long time) without MadVader's figuring out how to make it all work.  He's a scripting and coding wizard.  I am most happy that you think the music and ambient sound contribute so much to the mod.  It is something I always thought sadly lacking in M&B vanilla and in most mods.

I was not the only person who dug into the old wallet for PoP 3 - Ermine paid voice actors and paid for a recording studio in Switzerland to record many of the voices - see the credits list.  I paid to licence music, including a track by the Witcher composer (not from the Witcher.)  I also spent vast amounts of time locating free-use music from innumerable sources, and trying and discarding, until the blend for the mod was right.  Many of our Dev Team members sacrificed time they needed for other things to work on the mod - and time is more precious than money.  Saxondragon was absolutely murdered with a work schedule that encompassed 20 out of 24 hours and still managed to stay with PoP 3, ably assisted by MadVader's coding.

Sir George Pommeroy Colley and FabledPilgrim truly did professional and creative work on the music they wrote and performed for the PoP 3 port to Warband - they are both real pros!  And, bless 'em, they did it for free, which we very much appreciated!

Another tease:  So, you think the Formations mod as it works in other mods is good?  Hah!  PoP excells again.  Treebeard, who kindly volunteered his very talented coding services to the PoP Dev Team, is an absolute genius with formations.

Edit: We are all VERY impressed with what he has done and he is working on some other things that will be even more exciting.

Sounds great!  :D

Im afraid that im going to use another 400 hours for PoP when the port comes out. But Fawzia.... that tease, do so i really can't wait. Formations that work great, would make me addicted to PoP :P

They already work so much better than "great" that you will be very happy, then.  Treebeard found and fixed a lot of bugs in the original Formations codes and he is adding some new and entertaining extras to it which he (and the rest of us on the Dev Team) thought would be very fun.

Ahh... that news combined with the grouping in WB is really interesting. I have slacked off playing all games lately but when the holidays roll around looking forward to having some free time to try this stuff out. Well- no rush or anything. ;-)

Wait are you telling me i can't take a warhorse, and knock all the enemy lords Infantry/footarchers unconcious before they attack my men?! :O (Yes, that was indeed possible in a mod i tried... which is why i usually turn off formations if possible in other mods)

You will want to try it in the PoP port to Warband.  As noosers said, "combat AI got some braaaaiiiinnnns!"  If you run a warhorse into the enemy lords' infantry/archers, you will be stopped by a clump of foot soldiers, and killed on the spot.

That's awesome news! I bought Warband on sale a few months ago, but haven't even started it up once. PoP will be the maiden voyage.  :D
