Suggestion: The Elder Scrolls Mod

I know there's a place for suggestions but I really want modders to get their hands on this.

-I would die for a mod like this. It would feature the Empire, followers of Oblivion, the Elsweyr Confederacy, the Morrowind Clans...
-And all of it in the fantasy world of Tamriel. Cities like Bruma and Skingrad would need no special scenes. The Imperial City yes.
-It's quite challenging, cause modders would have the oportunity to create caves and mines. Yes, those scenes are a base for the world in tamriel, full of enemies in the dark...
-It would also need new armours, but all theones from MaB would be used.

-Oblivion may have better graphics, and more dialog, but this mod would rock because of the awesome battles and the complete map!
-Forget those ****ty battles from Oblivion, which supported no more than 32 NPCs, and forget not being able to travel out of Cyrodiil or Morrowind!
-And more important: Mounted combat!! and spears! and pikes! Everything Oblivion lacked.

I have thought of making this myself after 1866 is done, or at least released, but now it seems I won't have to. Good luck to you mate.

The trouble with suggesting something this elaborate is that it daunts the casual and beginner modders. As for the veterans, their typically already working on their own mods. Also, I'd much rather have a Morrowind or a Redguard mod than an Oblivion mod. ^.^

Well there was this:

but it kicked the bucket (i.e. died/discontinued/abandoned/etc.)

I wasn't talking about Morrowind or Cyrodiil (Oblivion's land mass). I was talking about Tamriel, which is basicly: all together. It was something you couldn't do in the TES games, you could only walk around 1 province. That gets boring.

That is rather big/ambitious.

That the map represents a big landmass doesn't mean it's ambitious. It depends on the amount of detail. You can make a mod about Ireland with 100 settlements or a mod about Europe with just the capital cities...

Aren't you contradicting yourself a bit here? I mean, the whole point of walking around in one province in TES games was the amount of detail put into everything. I see nothing interesting here, except maybe the map. And if someone were to make this for MnB, you couldn't walk around the place, just the cities. That kind of destroys the charm of TES games. And if you want to walk around other provinces in TES, go to TES Nexus, they have mods there that recreate almost the whole of Tamriel, in a way MnB could never do. This would be the same as someone making a MnB mod for TES. How do you think the giant battles would work there...

Haha
i just 'beat' the game - thieves guild quests and mainline quest
now im doing dark brotherhood
i just stopped at where you are - Cloud Rulet Temple, right?

Oh!
And how about a RPG Mod for this?
after the other rpg mod that is being finished, we can request this =D

@Revan Shan: Here's a suggestion - Use the map maker to create the map for Tamriel. Figure out which cities you want to include and where they need to go. Then use the scene creator to create some of the towns, even if they're just mock-ups. Slowly start building up a team of people to help out, and try to create a couple of items with Wings3d as well. See if Woopie will let you use some of his models. After a while you'll have the groundworks for a beta release. This will attract even more people to help out. Eventually you will have a mod. ^.^

I also suggest you stop making suggestions.. I can't imagine there are many intelligent modders who would want to make anything based on such an utterly generic fantasy universe when they could have far more fun making up their own!
