Yea, I found it rather annoing to have to exit the town before I can speak/trade with my companions. Is there some sort of tech issue that prevents it?
Yes it's a technical issue. However I can perhaps make it such that you automatically exit the town if you press the talk button. But I'll need to chack that.

I figured it had something to do with NPC placement (cause you see whoever you're speaking to with the location in the backround). But I don't know how you've got things set up. :p
Maybe we can come up with work arounds? Cause really, having to exit to talk to them (even if it's made automatic) is annoying.
After all, sometimes I want upgrade their stuff, I need to look at what they have, then check the store, and sometimes I'd like to flick back to their inventory to verify.
This is why I still think we need an inventory character toggle. So you open up the inventory, and then have a selector where you can flip through the various characters.
