Hello everyone! I'd like to share with you a board game that I've enjoyed for a very long time, and share it with the wonderful people of taleworlds. You may have heard of Axis and Allies, and the thing that I've heard most from people that don't know how to play are "isn't that game ridiculously complicated?". Yes, it is complex, but not moreso than any of the grand strategy games that many of us play. Once you learn the rules, it's not a hassle to play or anything like that. If you have not heard of it, Axis and Allies is a game which can most simply be described as RISK set during World War 2, but much more complicated and fun.
With that, I will introduce the game.
Axis and Allies: Global 1940
Global 1940 is the largest and most intricate game in the series, as well as the most fun (go hard or go home). It begins in the year 1940(duh), with Germany poised to sweep through France, the Japanese are pushing against the Chinese hard, and the Americans and Soviets are yet to enter the war.
To play this game via the internet, we will be using the program called TripleA to play. It's great and allows people all over the world to play without a board.
In order to play, you ought to know the premise for the game, and preferably know the rules or at least be willing to learn. I've talked to several around the BoP community that are interested in trying this out, and I'm willing to help anyone out that would like it.
I obviously cannot go into the rules here, as they are too long, but here are a couple useful links for the aspiring player:
A Beginner's Guide to A&A Global 1940
Official Rulebook PDF (will take a minute or two to load)
For the first game, we will have either five or six players, depending on how much interest we get. After everyone signs up we can assign countries and take it away from there.
Players:
Germany - Eternal
Japan - Gaham
Italy - Jagiello
USA & China - HULK
UK & ANZAC - Admiralthrawn
USSR & France - Pixel

How to take your turn:
1. See that it is your turn.
2. Download the save file from your email. If you cannot find it, I have set up a backup email which will have all of the files stored, and you can retrieve it from there.
3. Open it in TripleA, take your turn. Make sure you have pressed the play by email button, or else it won't record your turn. The first time you play, you may need to provide login information. If so, talk to me and I'll tell you what it is.
4. When you are done, send the turn out to everybody by clicking the button that says 'send gamesave' or something like that.
5. Additionally, copy your turn's game history into the game thread, so that those reading along can see.
Whenever you take your turn, there is a dice server that will record your rolls, to ensure that you aren't simply reloading the save until you get good results for your battles. I am emailed the dice results and so is the backup, master email. If you are discovered to have rolled the same battle multiple times, you'll be removed from the game.
